After living in Italy for a couple years, Cafe Italiano is the best Italian food in Sacramento. Most places in town are Americanized Italian food. This was authentic. The owner, Sergio, is from Italy as well so he's true to his roots through the ingredients. Favorite place in Sacramento.
We came for a quiet 50th birthday dinner and Cafe Italiano did not disappoint. My father is full Italian and said it was the best food since his mother's. I can tell you that the spaghetti Bolognese with meatballs is the best sauce I've had next to my grandmothers, and the meatballs will melt in your mouth.
