I was extremely disappointed! The $45.00 pitcher or margaritas was so subpar. The food was awful. Somehow they hid the taste. I used to enjoy Carmelita's but I will never bring my business there again. They made bland awful!

Although the meals are smaller and more expensive, the Carnitas are still a favorite of mine!
Went here with some friends from the area. We’re from out of town and it was their local reccomendation. Food was delicious and portions were huge. Forgot to take pictures. If we were local we’d absolutely come back.

Wife and I stopped by for a late lunch this Sunday. I ordered a Michelada that was really good and my wife ordered a pineapple margarita that was strong but good. Food was average. I ordered some spicy salsa to add more flavor to my carnitas and was shocked that I was charged $1. Service was just ok. Our waiter was Ramon and wasn't friendly or unfriendly. Just basic service. I asked if they do catering since we will have a large party (over 100 people) for our son's baptism. He said they did and I asked if I could see their menu. He mumbled something about the manager being around and I can talk to him. Didn't really get the feeling like they need our business. Overall I know a lot of other restaurants that go above and beyond. Can't really say I recommend this place.

We went there mid-afternoon on a Friday and the restaurant was nearly empty, as you would expect. Service was prompt and friendly and the chips were delicious and fresh, obviously made on site. My wife loved the red sauce enchilada and my classic chopped beef burrito was great and large enough that I took some home. The restaurant is a little hard to find but well worth the effort. The ambiance is superb and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Carmelita's next time you're in the mood for good Mexican food.

On Saturday, 3/2/2024 at 6PM the place was busy. They had "roving mariachi-tas" who toted around to each table a blasting boom box and they sang into a hyped up microphone that amplified and transformed what was probably beautiful voices into the sound of bellowing animals being slaughtered. The sound "deadened" the senses such that there was little or no enjoyment of a place we have been enjoying for years.

The best Mexican food in excellent service. I love going here and I am so lucky. I only live about eight minutes away always accommodating every time I come in even when they're super busy food is always hot and delicious.

I used to love this place for date nights. Loved the great food, the atmosphere, and service was always excellent. During our recent visit, we had the displeasure to have Guadalupe as our server and she was the rudest I have ever encountered while dining out! First, she avoided coming to our table for about 20 minutes after we were seated. She did come to other tables that were seated after us!! What was that about?? Then when she finally approached us to take our orders, she was unbelievably rude. No hello, no smiling, acting like we ruined her night by coming in. My food was also disappointing. I had my usual, the steak tampiquena and the meat was inedible.. it was mostly cartilage!!! Every piece I tried to chew, I had to spit out. Guadalupe came back to pick up our plates and my husband told her about the issue with my food, but she just looked at him, picked up the plates and walked away without acknowledging anything he just told her. I couldn't believe it! The whole experience was just mind boggling! Needless to say we won't be returning ever again. Horrible service, horrible dining experience!
