Went here for the first time for a birthday dinner. I can always tell quality of food not only while enjoying it but especially by the way I feel post meal. This meal made my stomach really upset after we got home. Super cute place, beautiful outside area. Cocktails were great, service was good but food was mediocre and pretty over priced for what you get. W probably won’t come back for food, maybe cocktails on the patio.

I really love Shangri-la in Fair Oaks! From the food and drinks, to the atmosphere it is a gem of a spot! Also the staff is so friendly and chefs are so creative and talented! Also it has a big outdoor space, great for bigger parties and even renting out space for an event! It is very popular so don’t be impatient if you go there and have to wait a bit, it will be worth it!

I cannot recommend Shangri-la highly enough. This place has one of the best cocktail programs in town. Every drink is thoughtfully crafted with each element turned up a notch, making for absolutely incredible drinks. The bartenders are awesome - super knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The food is also incredible (don't sleep on the fried chicken)! The overall atmosphere is fun and I can't recommend it enough!

During a recent visit to Shangri-La, I discovered it while exploring Fair Oaks and was initially drawn in by its charming atmosphere. However, my experience as a solo diner was disappointing. Solo diners are required to order near the bar and are seated on uncomfortable, backless chairs. Throughout my meal, no one checked in on me, and I had to get my own water from a station. There was a pride flag near the hostess station with a sign proclaiming, "Everyone is welcome here," unless you have the audacity to dine alone. It was unexpectedly windy that day, and the staff offered fleece blankets to other diners for warmth. Unfortunately, I was overlooked, which made the experience feel quite isolating. I’ve dined solo in similar restaurants and have always been treated with the same attentiveness as other guests. The food at Shangri-La was decent but not particularly memorable—just standard fare. While the ambiance is inviting, the treatment of solo diners suggests a certain snobbery that detracts from the overall experience. This place is not one I would return to.

It's so pleasant to dine outside at Shangri-la. They have misters in case it's hot. They also have strings of lights which add to the great atmosphere. The service is great and so it the food. We had Crispy Brussel Sprouts, Deviled Eggs (which are so good they rival mine), Mary's Fried Chicken with corn bread. They even have outdoor bocce ball. Be sure to take a photo by the Peace Sign Bike Racks just outside the front door.

Went here to celebrate a birthday dinner. The service from the waiter was great, really nice guy. Food was pretty poor unfortunately. Portions are very light, which would have been fine if the quality was better.
The espresso martinis were good. I would recommend going across the street to Brahma over this place.
