Coconut curry was really good. Pesto naan was one of the best naans I’ve tried in my life.

Stopped by Café Lotus for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. The chicken curry was rich, flavorful, and made with organic ingredients — a comforting and wholesome dish that really stood out.

Vegan options clearly marked and they advertise their options. Cute interior and they had friendly service. Well located near Fairfax downtown and next to some cool thrift shops. Updated from previous review on 2025-08-01
Having eaten so much great Indian food in the Bay Area, I can confidently say Fairfax is lucky to have Café Lotus. It’s truly a wonderful Indian restaurant. They even hooked me up with free onion naan, and they have momos! What’s not to love?
Nice eatery, I stumbled upon after trying another place for vegan options. Staff were helpful and friendly. The lunch portions were filling. Complimentary tea is offered while waiting.
Extremely accommodating and friendly people, well-kept interiors, and a covered patio. Dont miss out on the Tikka Masala and the onion naan.
I’ve been coming here every now and then for many many years. Now they’ve expanded the restaurant taking over the adjacent old hair salon to create a much larger restaurant. Beautiful interior and a spacious patio in the back. Very friendly and attentive staff and most importantly wonderful food!

This place is delicious.
Everything was delicious ☺️ and good service!!
Amazing place with the view on Temple. There is very good atmosphere and energie 😍. I like this place with very good food so much ❤️.
We got take out. The shrimp tandoori with marsala sauce had 9 small pale pink shrimp-nt sure where the tandoori was suppose to be. The sauce tasted like tomato soup. The lamb curry was bland. It cost $50-waste of money-I will not go back.
