Went on a Sunday morning and even though it was busy I got through the line quickly and my drink was ready in just a few minutes. I got a black and white mocha and thought it was very sweet but in a good way. It can feel a bit cramped inside but there is plenary of outdoor seating.

I love good coffee shops. To be honest, the Fairfax Coffee Roastery isn't my typical cool, ultra Swedish hip décor kind of place that I usually go for. Does that matter? No! The Roastery is soo Fairfax, so down home and so daggily local that going there is wandering in to the soul of Fairfax. The nibbles hit the spot, the coffee is good and the tables outside are always there to meet a friend and talk for hours. I'm glad they support a big noticeboard, it's a great community hub for local events. I just hope they can stay as they are in a time when landlords are putting up rents all over town. Give them the business! Keep them serving good coffee and good vibes!

This place has the right location and vibes, but unfortunately the espresso is absolutely terrible - generally flavorless, and they dump in steamed milk so it's just one big mixture. Yet they charge Equator prices. As a fairfax local, I'd love to be able to come here for my coffee rather than huffing it down to Longway in San Anselmo, but every time is a disappointment.

Great atmosphere with a bold aroma of fresh ground coffee. However, less enthused about the the employee at the register.... who was rude and harsh spoken. Not the kind of person you want to start your day with. Hope he has a better day tomorrow and comes in a little nicer to the world.
