Great restaurant with huge portions of high quality food served by a fun and attentive staff.
Kind of a funky New Orleans oriented experience, always worth a visit.
Apparently they're closing, so sad, they seem to be doing everything right.

There aren’t enough stars for the best place for brunch in Marin. Southern food, friendly and upbeat atmosphere. Brunch then stroll the shops in Fairfax and double win! Ya’ll will feel like family and taken care of. Beignets are the Bomb

Fried Chicken Hash: chicken is on point, perfectly crispy skin, the beans are killer and the mixture of veggies sauce and egg are just outa this world. Don’t forget to add the hot sauce. And be sure to get the beignets! - from Dan Mondot Smith & Ellie

I recently moved to San Anselmo, and am so happy I “found” The Hummingbird in nearby Fairfax. It’s in a good location at 57 Broadway Blvd. with plenty of free parking across the street. I really like the New Orleans vibe at The Hummingbird. The menu includes several creole items alongside standard breakfast and lunch choices. The servers are friendly, helpful, and efficient. The food is fresh and delicious. I love their catfish po’ boy sandwich. The fried green tomato BLT is very good too. My third visit will happen next week — I’m thinking waffle & fried chicken this time . . . or maybe the fried shrimp po’ boy sandwich.
Michelle and her staff are amazing. Food is always great.

Gotta love a place that plays bluegrass and has a disco ball! Fun, fresh, friendly and funky. The Hummingbird Cafe in Fairfax is a must try restaurant.
ok now. AND they refill your mimosas. ALRIGHT!!!
ok now. THE FOOD! Soooooo good.
We both enjoyed The Gumbo and Chicken and Waffles. Waffles have garlic butter. Excellent surprise. The spicy syrup paired so well. Ordered a side of whipped cream to add to the deliciousness. Oh my. THE BEST. BOTH.
WE ARE COMING BACK!!!

While visiting Fairfax California, I was recommended to eat at hummingbirds, this was a delightful place to eat service was outstanding, looks like they have a Cajun recipe which I love
This place has slipped so dramatically. We used to LOVE it but its now egregiously overpriced, the service- nonexistent. The food is still good, but that’s just not enough. Kinda sad.
