Let's start with the positive .. The restaurant was clean and the server was pleasant. But the FOOD. First of all they gave me what appeared to be Salt & Pepper Wings when I ordered Sweet & Sour Chicken. Those were the worst wings I ever tasted. Very strange weird flavor. The shrimp fried rice I ordered had undercooked shrimp and just bland and flavorless. They gave me no condiments like soy sauce or sweet and sour. No fork or napkins. My bag was tied up tight and I didn't wanna be rude and check it in front of him but I should've. My total was $30 for 6 wings and rice.. Just because I didn't wanna go to Panda Express I paid the price..

Food is decent but absolutely out of this world too expensive for Chinese food. 40$ for 3 appetizers is crazy

Highly recommended! The food itself is very tasty and the service is great too! I love spicy food so I ordered the spicy shrimp, pork, beef and lamb, all of them are the best in town! Don’t miss Chef Chen if you are in Fairfield!

Mouth-Watering Spicy Organic Chicken (Bone-In)" A cold appetizer. A first for me. Dark meat chicken and the numbing experience. I like it!Dumplings in chili oil. Very nice texture and flavor. Husband prefers fried.Dry cooked spicy shrimp; lots of chili ! They let husband know it was shell on, then talked amongst themselves and agreed to make a shell off versionEgg fried rice, like husband likes it. "Not too much other fillers".Shredded Pork in Garlic Sauce; both like it!

This restaurant is amazing. The food is cooked very well, fresh ingredients and generous portions. I am from San Francisco and have not found a Chinese restaurant to match what I'm used to getting in the city so this restaurant is a refreshing change. 1000% better than the previous restaurant that was there. Looking forward to trying the whole menu.

Wheelchair accessibility: Nice wide doors, handicap parking with a ramp.

I am addicted to their Szechuan Beef Stew Noodle Soup. Aromatic and tasty soup and noodle with plenty of beef. Great dish on a rainy day.

I can’t say how excited I was when I found this place on Yelp and saw they have authentic Chinese/Szechuan food, specifically mala spicy food! The food we ordered were packed full of the spicy, numbing sensation. We ordered the Szechuan thin sliced lamb in hot pot, mapo tofu, dumplings in chili oil, salt and pepper wings, and jia duo bao herbal tea.The Szechuan hot pot included slices of lamb, cabbage, wood ear mushroom, topped with cilantro. The soup was hot, spicy, and had the perfect balance of the numbing sensation from the Szechuan pepper corn. It was super yummy and we finished it all!The mapo tofu was very good as well, had a good kick to it although my boyfriend said it was a bit too salty. The dumplings were delicious and came on top of chili oil.The salt and pepper wings were very crunchy and not too oily. I enjoyed it, although this was a tad salty also. Our waiter seemed to be very surprised we ordered the hot pot; he said that in the 4 weeks they’ve been open, we’ve been the first to order it! He was very nice and he gave us 2 more cans of jia duo bao teas on the house since he said not a lot of people order it. Overall our service was great.Chef Chen’s took over Bamboo Garden, next to Little Caesar’s. The restauraunt is in an assuming location, and has a small parking lot. There are tables for dining in but is limited seating.
