Oh yes, I saw the place on the restaurant lookup. It's all good. Pan-fried catfish, red snapper, greens, potato salad, and fried chicken. We visited two days in a row, and tomorrow will be the third before we leave town. We even met some people at our hotel and told them to check it out. We walked in today, and they were finishing up lunch. Rave reviews! And don't leave without having dessert or taking some home. Thank you all. A very blessed establishment. ✨ First visit to Chez Soul ✨. We were visiting from Miami, FL. I love to support black owned businesses. Chez Soul provides the comfort from traditional southern cuisines. Cozy atmosphere.I customized my order with all vegetables ( black eyed peas, collard greens, red beans and rice and Mac n cheese) all without any meat. My companion ordered turkey wings with a side of collards and yams. I think of all the vegetables, the yams were my personal preference. Other veggie items were okay. Glad to find southern cuisine options available on the west coast.I also appreciate the fruit infused water! There is a wide range of desserts readily available including pies, cakes, banana pudding and peach cobbler which we will try upon our return visit. Enjoy!

What is this mess right here? This is about the worst looking chicken that I ever seen even Costco. Safeway and Walmart is better. You have cooked it too fast and it’s not even done in the middle. Your greens are horrible. no flavored none whatsoever your mac & cheese. It’s on the border too about ready to fall over the cliff Potato salad take it off the menu and the chocolate cake. I don’t know if that’s supposed to be homemade it couldn’t be betty cracker because it’s better than that.

Their blackened fish was some of the best I have had! The sides were solid. The fried chicken was awesome the bbq was fair!! The desserts look sublime get that next time! Home cookin at its best!!

The service is just horrible it gets worse and worse every time I call and I can imagine dining in I just call and place to go orders.. for people that work in a restaurant your staff is definitely very impatient with your guest being you're the only soul food restaurant in town is the only reason why you guys are probably still open the food is mediocre and the service is horrible

I came for the lunch special blackened red snapper and fried catfish. The fish was delicious, the side orders of greens and yams was yummy! Best lunch special ever ! Worth the drive from Vallejo.
