We were greeted by a nice cashier who even made recommendations for a slice of cake.
We ordered the catfish plate and an order of 12 to go! Don’t forget the hot sauce, tarter, and ketchup!
The catfish is beautifully cooked with a nice blend of seasoning.
Even the cooks interacted with us and were so nice! Not from the area but when I’m back in town I’ll be back for more!

The food was disappointing—bland and lacking in flavor. Additionally, the staff seemed disengaged and unmotivated, which impacted the overall experience. If the atmosphere is going to be unwelcoming, the quality of the food should at least compensate for it

I stopped by hungry for Fish and Chips.. I was promptly greeted and made to feel appreciated. There are so many options for fish and chicken options at this location. The food was delicious and very generous portions. This is a solid stop for Fish and Chips.

Wasn't sure if I was going to like the cornmeal crust vs my usual beer battered breading but JJ Fish and chips made me a believer. Quick service and good food. Fish and chips were great. Chicken strips were just ok for me, but you don't go to a fish n chips joint to get chicken right.

On July 19th 2024 We went to JJ's fries and chicken. ordered shrimps & fries, oysters, fried chicken wings & fries everything was somewhat decent Accept for the very salty overcooked fried chicken wings however, customer service was adequate. The restaurant environment was clean but there is certainly room for improvement as it relate to excessively salty fried chicken wings. I would not recommend anyone to eat at this place because we won't again.
Well, here visiting and sis stopped by here. The food was salty fish, which was not all the way done. The half curly and steak fries were hard, no salt. The hushpuppies was drenched with salt. And the desert peach cobbles was old. Please, if you want to sell soul food, learn from someone else. This was not it.

I have always raved about this place. I called in all of my orders so I really never seen how unsanitary and the re- use of old food.. the chicken was already cooked maybe from the day before..the cashier took cash and packed food with the Same gloves. I don't think I will ever hold this place to the high standards that I once had.
