The food was fine, did an online order showed up 5 minutes early, I don’t mind waiting at all if it’s not done. The place was busy, only one server, she asked me to wait about 10 times. Answered the phone took orders and served food for 10 minutes. When she finally got to me, I told her I had an online order come to find out it was the one that had been sitting on the counter the entire time I was there. Can only imagine how long it’s sat there because it was certainly not even warm. Definitely not going back, there’s plenty of other places in the area.

The Highs: The chicken taco was pretty darn good. I enjoyed it. The shell has a nice crunch to it. The chicken was seasoned well My friend enjoyed her el pastor tacos as well. The chicken quesadilla really set it off for me. It was flavorful, nice portion size and I enjoyed the dip that came with it also.
The Lows: The food was kinda expensive. It was about $60 for a to go order of 6 tacos and a quesadilla and a drink. While the food was good, not sure if the price was worth it considering all of the other Mexican food options nearby. Also, the tacos didn't come with any sides (rice, beans, etc.) which was unfortunate for the price.
The In-Between: We found this place on Instagram based on a video review someone did. The parking was a little tough. The service was cool for our to go order.

We went here after we saw a good review on tik tok. Me and my kids food was good. But my husband asked for no sour cream on his chimichanga, they brought it out with sour cream and we pointed it out, they took it and then they brought it back out and then we seen sour cream stuck on the sides as if they just wiped it off and refried it😖 we brought it up to the staff and they said they are busy😣 so my husband had to eat a chimichanga that was double fried and after he gave me one bite to taste it, the taste of oil just stayed in my mouth and they didn’t even try to fix the mistake for him they just said they are busy. We don’t like to complain but this was an easy fix and got brushed off. Not to mention the food is kind of pricey to get bad customer service for simple mistakes not to be resolved correctly.

It's hard to get too excited about Mexican food because there are a lot of good places in California. BUT this place is different! The spices that they are use are something special. I have only been there twice since I just found out about it, but man it has me thinking about it when I am not there! Do yourself a favor, and just TRY IT. You will find yourself writing a review like this haha.

An Absolute Hidden Gem – A Must-Visit!

La Costa Azul is hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had—and that’s saying something. Tucked away just off the freeway, it’s easy to miss, but do not pass it by. It’s a short detour that rewards you with an unforgettable meal and genuinely warm hospitality.

From the moment we stepped in, we were welcomed like family. Although we weren’t familiar with the menu at first and felt a bit out of place, the incredibly friendly staff went out of their way to guide us through it, with enthusiasm and kindness. Their love for the food they serve is obvious—and it’s infectious.

And the food? Wow. Every dish came out with beautiful presentation and portions that were as generous as they were delicious. The flavors were bold, authentic, and full of heart. We’re still talking about every bite!

Now, let’s talk about that michelada mixer—absolutely the best I’ve ever had. It’s no wonder it’s award-winning. We couldn’t leave without grabbing two bottles to take home so we could relive the experience just a little longer.

The staff even checked in during the meal, and their faces lit up with pride when we raved about how incredible everything was. That genuine joy and hospitality made our visit even more special.

If you’re even remotely nearby—go. Right now. La Costa Azul is a true treasure, and we can’t wait to come back.

It's good. Dont 3ven second guess it. Clean and friendly.
03/16/25. It's been some time since I've been here but it's still the same good food.. I think it was 12 bucks for a shrimp burrito. Shrimp in every bite.

I ordered 3 super burritos through door dash a total of $67.
I only received two soggy super burritos
When I called back manager said he would send out another superburrito because it was their fault they didn’t send out the third super burrito and he would add an horchata to the order .
I had to order it through door dash again which charged me $7
Another soggy super burrito arrived with no horchata the delivery driver said he would go back to get it . He never came back

So basically I spent $ 75 on three cold and soggy burritos .

Never again poor customer service

Do not call to try and speak to them....they will interupt you and not let you complete a sentence. Then when I asked please let me finish a sentence she hung up on me and blocked my number. I was not rude I simply asked to let me finish what I am saying because I could not put 2 words together before she kept speaking over me....I called and put my order in at another restaurant and will write a nice review about the different experience I had....common courtesy does not exist here....

Hearing your response that this was a Manager who handled this call just makes it way worse for your business. A Manager with maybe some ego issue but still a Manager who does not belong in this position.
The call was taken by a nice person with a pleasant voice. I did not call and ask for the Owner. I called and asked for Rosa, I was asked to hold while they checked if she was busy. This so called Manager came on and I said hello. I said hello Rosa. She responded no who is this? I said this is Robert and is Rosa available? The Manager did not Identify she was the Manager. She did not say the Owner was busy she just started asking me with a tone why I was calling. She asked me why I wanted to talk to Rosa. I said...and I got cut off before I got to my 3rd word. She said are you with a bank? I said no...but how odd to ask me that. I do not understand...I said no I am not with a bank I just ...again cut off...I then interupted and said....Please can I just complete a sentence? And I was hung up on and hte call was blocked. You can justify this anyway you want...but I would never go to your business and this so called manager with some serious ego issues should not be in the position she is...How you stated I asked for the owner several times when I could not even finish a sentence is just a flat out lie.
