The rib eye and fish had an after taste. We had to send them back. We only ate the starter, sliders which were really good. Thankfully they didn't charge us for the returned food.

Went for my husbands birthday and it was wonderful. I had the most tender melt in your mouth filet mignon and my husband had the bison strip steak which was also great. We were very impressed with the attentive service of the staff and also they were always busy serving, cleaning and stocking. The only thing that needed any improvement was the demeanor of the hostess, she never smiled and wasn't friendly. I really recommend going if you have the chance.

Mankas Grill made a strong first impression. The atmosphere is classy yet relaxed, and the service was warm and attentive from the moment we arrived. Our server read off the specials with so much detail that I ended up ordering the halibut special, and their wine list had several great options—the one I chose paired perfectly with the meal.
We started by sharing the French onion soup, which actually had excellent flavor, but surprisingly lacked the amount of cheese you’d typically expect. Still, it was comforting and delicious. The oysters, on the other hand, were outstanding—fresh, bright, and served with a pickled radish add-on I’d never had before. Now I’m officially addicted and will be hunting for that combination everywhere.
For entrées, I had the halibut while my friend ordered the steak. Both dishes were high-quality and beautifully presented, but they leaned lighter on seasoning than expected. I even asked for extra topping sauce to bring out more flavor. The ingredients and execution were solid—the dishes just needed a stronger punch.
Despite that, the overall experience was lovely. Between the service, atmosphere, and the standout appetizers, I would definitely return to try more of the menu. Mankas Grill has a lot of potential, and I enjoyed my first visit.

First time here, came with a friend between wine tastings on a Sunday. Made reservations, but probably didn't need them for the time we were there which was post normal lunch time.
We ordered the bruchetta to share, I had the BBQ ribs and my friend had the special prime rib dip.
My ribs were nicely tender and had a little zing from the sauce. My friend enjoyed her sandwich and we both took some food home, portions are good.
We sat inside, but there is also outdoor seating available. Service was good and the staff helpful in deciding what to order. Prices are on the higher side so may not be for everyone, but I recommend it for a nice break between wine tastings.
As usual, Neal was terrific and the food was the Star !! Wedge salad- super crisp and delicious. I did ask for more yummy salad dressing. The bison chili was very tasty but needed to be heated more. We will be back!!!

I was taken here for the steak but friend order the burger stating it’s one of the best burgers anywhere. I got the Porterhouse medium rare and I would order again. The burger though would bring me back to share or eat.

Had an amazing lunch at Mankas Grill! We ordered the shrimp cocktail, poutine fries, steak salad, and fish & chips. The shrimp were fresh and meaty, the poutine rich and comforting, the steak salad perfectly balanced, and the fish and chips crispy and flavorful. Our server Neal was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Great food, great service, and that relaxed wine country charm. Can't wait to come back!
