As usual, Neal was terrific and the food was the Star !! Wedge salad- super crisp and delicious. I did ask for more yummy salad dressing. The bison chili was very tasty but needed to be heated more. We will be back!!!

Had an amazing lunch at Mankas Grill! We ordered the shrimp cocktail, poutine fries, steak salad, and fish & chips. The shrimp were fresh and meaty, the poutine rich and comforting, the steak salad perfectly balanced, and the fish and chips crispy and flavorful. Our server Neal was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. Great food, great service, and that relaxed wine country charm. Can't wait to come back!

We sat at the bar. The bartender was very attentive and friendly. We asked for suggestions about a couple of the menu items and he gave us a couple of options. We chose to share the Prime rib sandwich. It was very good and it was enough food for both of us.

We are local diners and have eaten at Mankas before... always okay but expensive . This time all 3 of us had our sides on our main dishes cold ! The fish and lamb were warm but sides... vegetables, potatoes, rice, were all cold. We were given additional warm sides but that shouldn't happen at an expensive steakhouse like Mankas. We won't return.

We've eaten at Mankas Grill many times but last night was very disappointing. The entire meal along with the chili served prior to the main course was barely lukewarm like it had been sitting for awhile. This was the case with both of our meals not just one. It was a total waste of a $248.00 meal (including drinks and tip). We will go back but we will wait awhile.

The food was brought out in a reasonable amount of time.
A barking dog with its owner sitting on the patio right outside the door we were sitting next to interrupted our meal the entire time. At least two groups sat on the patio with this woman, but soon moved inside.
It took way too long to get our plates removed and dessert offered. Then it took too long to get our bill. Longer than it took to get our meal once we ordered.
What should have been a great experience was tarnished by the barking dog and the apparent deference shown to the dog’s owner by our waiter, Tanner.

A wonderful wine county experience in an mostly unknown wine region. Goog atmosphere and attentive staff.
We ordered an appetizer, shared a dinner and dessert. Total came out to about 89 bucks. Service was fast and respectful. The food was well put together and was in a nice location. I would definitely take a date here again.

Overall it is definitely a 4 plus. There are only two areas of improvement, but these were basically negligible. Service was great, but we had to ask for a few things twice. I didn't get a steak knife for my tasted amazing rib-eye and we had to ask twice for more water and an extra plate. As I said, errors easily forgiven because it was a Friday night. The place is amazing, but it's not cheap. The prices could be a tad cheaper. dinner for 4 with two cocktails and 3 desserts was nearly $450 with a 20% tip. As I said, overall, definitly a 4, had the service been impeccable, it was really good, friendly staff, but had it been just a tad more, then definitely a 5. We will be going again though.
