Sticky Rice Chinese Bistro & Bar

Great staff, prompt service, but the food was awful. I have eaten there four or five times and always enjoyed it but this last time I ordered chicken with walnuts, and there were probably only three walnuts in it. It was in this gummy mayonnaise looking sauce. The salad was just lettuce with some soy sauce on it was super disappointing.. other than a measly lettuce salad, there was not a vegetable bowl to be seen on the plate. Very disappointed.

06/30/2025 it was an okey joint. went on a lunch time and sat at the bar. no point for a solo seating in a BIG table but thats just me wasting a table where a bigger party could have taken it instead of me. anyway got the lunch portion course me Mongolian beef with salad to start. the salad was foreals sad. again thats just me. just straight cabbage and salad dressing, thats it. but the Mongolian beef and tasty and filling to me as i got full with it. inside the joint was spacious and modern. dont feel old or bad. keeps up the asian ambiance. overall, joint was okey.

Came here for the lunch special and everything was good and moderately priced. Loved my mango sticky rice for dessert.

Combo chow mein is good, (alot of pork and chicken, 3 pcs of shrimp) could be more flavorful. I added chili garlic to it and it was perfect. Good price for serving size .

🤤Good food, flavorful, although I was not a fan of the calamari's seasoning, the texture was good and not greasy. I upgraded the rice to fried w/shrimp which had a good flavor. Next time I will order the entre of fried rice (to get more shrimp) and request scallions. I loved the fact the fried rice did not have the over abundant filler of peas and carrots chaos. Decent food portion and great lunch time specials for price. Service was overall okay, our person was pleasant enough, yet appeared overwhelmed. However, another person observed this and stepped in to attend to our needs. Atmosphere open, airy and inviting. My party and I arrived shortly after lunch hour and after we ate we were able sit and catch up which I saw others doing. We were mindful of incoming traffic, which was minimal from 2 to 3:30 and we compensated our leisurely meal with an over tip. Surely would have left sooner had there been a need for our table. Looking forward to my next visit to the area as I will stop in.

Horrible place. The manager on duty today was extremely disrespectful towards the staff and to us as patrons. Would not recommend to anyone. Instead of taking responsibility for her own mismanagement and lack of training for her staff, she blamed the servers for being new.

1.) I ordered a Wonton soup with Mongolian Beef and Spicy Pork and the total was almost $50. That would be a reasonable price if our meals came with rice and a vegetable. But it was just the protein with nothing.

2.) The Spicy Pork had no identifiable flavor and didn’t even taste like pork. The Mongolian Beef said it came with crispy rice noodles, and there were none.

3.) I’ve never had a wonton soup have shrimp in it, ESPECIALLY if it doesn’t advertise it… and the wonton soup had a shrimp floating inside of it.

This is a sad attempt at authentic Chinese food. Do better for that price.
