Los Molcajetes Taqueria Reviews
I’m super disappointed with this place. We were referred by a friend to go to this place. We ordered take out over the phone after reviewing the menu on their website. I called, placed the order and my husband went to grab it. He comes back and says it was $66 which didn’t make sense as I just read the menu and prices. They blatantly over charged us on the tacos and quesadilla. When questioned they were irritated. I think this is unprofessional and we will not be returning....read full review

Los Molcajetes Taqueria is a restaurant known for its tacos. The place can get busy, especially on weekends, and it can be quite loud due to the kitchen noise and music. A visitor's wife ordered quesabirria tacos and was not particularly impressed, although she did enjoy the consomé that came with it. The burrito mojado (wet burrito) with carne asada lacked flavor and the molé sauce was too thin. Another visitor had issues with their order, as they asked for no pico and no lemons or limes, but received pico and no citrus. They also found the enchiladas dry and the portions of rice and beans small. However, service is generally considered a high point, with one visitor praising their waiter, Enrique, for his attentiveness and friendliness. The atmosphere is described as clean, welcoming, and overall, a good dining experience.
Recently, customers have shared that the tacos, especially the shrimp and fish, are the best they have ever had, accompanied by delicious salsa and friendly service. The restaurant has a rich history as the original site for Fairfield's first Taco Bell, serving delicious Mexican food under new management. Visitors have enjoyed great carnitas quesadillas and a remarkable al pastor chimichanga. While there was an annoying squeak from an umbrella in the wind, the overall experience remains great.
