We stopped by Mel’s Diner in Fairfield for their car show and had such a great time! The parking lot was full of beautiful cars, everyone was friendly, and the diner staff were awesome. Food came out hot, the milkshakes were amazing (as always 🥛💞), and the atmosphere was just classic diner fun. Definitely one of our favorite weeknight stops — can’t wait to come back

Food was good, service terrible. Manager and owner needs to do something. This branch is gonna fail.

Our waitress left shift w/o saying anything, didnt offer to fill our drinks, no syrup for pancakes, no sauce for steak. The sole waitress left didnt check on tables, waited 30 min for the check. 3 people waiting to be seated at the door left with 1 guy waited 10 min at the counter with no acknowledgement.

It was so bad people started legit walking out w/o paying because they were there longer than us waiting for their check (45min +)

For a while, there was no one to be seen. The cook rang his bell multiple times looking for the waitress.

I usually like going here, but when it was time to open (per posted covid hours) there was no one to be found, so we had to leave 😢

Update: we waited like 5 minutes to be seated, which honestly isn't an issue, but it felt like they saw us and didn't acknowledge us 🤔 other than that, everything was fine and the food was delicious 😋

I love this place, great meals- always delicious and the service is amazing. One waitress in particular, Thatiana is always going above and beyond with service. Big meals for great value and a nice atmosphere. Great for any occasion! Food is always fresh with amazing flavor, definitely recommend, I come here regularly😋.

Came here after a long day at Six Flags and honestly... That grilled salmon with the 2 sides of mashed potatoes and gravy hit the spot just right. Their mimosas are very flavorful and the staff is great!! Will be coming back again for SURE!!

Regarding my recent Grubhub order for Eggs Benedict, I must report that the poached eggs were overcooked. To address this, I recommend either providing additional training to the culinary staff on proper poaching techniques or temporarily removing the dish from the menu. This is to ensure the quality of the dish meets the standards expected by your customers, who ultimately support the company. The experience was disappointing. Restaurants often have a single opportunity to establish a lasting impression with a new customer, and in this instance, the quality of the food did not meet expectations. I am increasingly concerned with the trend of restaurants offering subpar food and service.
If you raise the prices of food, then customers HAVE THE RIGHT to RAISE THEIR EXPECTATIONS ON FOOD QUALITY AND SERVICE.
Lazy interest from the corporate sector equals lazy staff performance.
