Awesome experience. Very knowledgeable staff and very friendly
Great wine & great scenery!
This is a prime spot for great wines, atmosphere, & customer service! There's something for everyone & pricing is very reasonable. The outdoor space is beautiful with a nice view, & the staff is very kind & attentive. Already looking forward to going back. Thank you!
This was our first wine tasting experience, and unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing one. We checked in and were told to have a seat. An older woman briefly acknowledged us, saying she’d be right with us—but instead, she focused on putting away wine glasses underneath the register. That seemed to take priority over helping us or any other guests.
We waited patiently for over 30 minutes with no follow-up, and no service whatsoever. It became pretty clear that our presence wasn’t valued, and honestly, it felt like they just didn’t want us there. From the way things were handled, we got the message.
So, we walked out.
Sadly, it seems this kind of treatment is not uncommon here—others have experienced being ignored too. Definitely not the warm, welcoming introduction to wine tasting we were hoping for.
Amazing visit!! Recommend coming during the week to get the full experience which they recommend 90 minutes!!
Maria was phenomenal!!! All the dry reds were delicious, bought so many had to ship back. $25 is well worth it! Cheaper than bag fees
Plenty of seating available inside & out!!
What a beautiful location. Picnic area, restrooms, wheelchair accessible. Such a relaxing place to enjoy some wine and friendship!
Dog friendly winery, outdoor patio tasting. Tasting fee ($20-30) waived by buying a bottle!
I made reservations online. It was very easy to navigate. They have a nice but small tasting room. My friends and I were seated right away with complimentary wine. There are tasting or you can buy a bottle of a wine. It was a nice experience. There is no food allowed inside and they don’t provide food expect what you can in their store but you can only eat it in the picnic area. It is a nice stop after dinner.
We had a wine tasting on a Sunday morning. Great atmosphere, wonderful views, and tasty wine! Also loved learning about the history of the winery and the Suisun Valley.
Great views and wine! We had an excellent time. Ask for Rob - he knows his stuff and won’t disappoint!

A good tasting with good wines. Friendly staff who offer wine in an incredibly lovely environment.
Incredible wines and great recommendations! Was a great time here, hope to come back someday!
No reservation needed when the doors open. I just walked in (by myself) but there is no one here. I was hesitant because there were no reservation spots available when I looked up the winery. But they happily accommodated me! I had the winery to myself for the first 45 mins of my visit! It was beautiful! Well manicured outdoor tasting space, friendly and welcoming staff. Enjoying my quick, last minute detour.
I initially chose to visit Wooden Valley because it is dog friendly. I was planning a get together with my family, for my birthday and Fairfield is the halfway point between us. We hadn’t all been together in years. I first went on a Tuesday to check the place out. Rose was an amazing host. She was sweeter than their dessert wine and very informative. We went home with four bottles of wine and a plan. When I got the email about our reservation, it said that we only had the picnic table from 1:30 to 3:00. An hour and a half was barely enough time to set up and eat pizza and cake, but not enough time to relax and catch up. I sent an email asking if I could extend the reservation an hour to 4:00. I got no reply, so I called and spoke with Alicia. She told me in no uncertain terms that that was impossible but that if no one else wanted the table we wouldn’t have to leave. She was not the least bit friendly about it. She was very abrasive and abrupt. It was too late to make other plans, so this left me scrambling to figure out what to do with six adults in an area I was unfamiliar with in case we got kicked out. That really soured the experience.
I should have paid more attention to the area where the picnic tables were on my initial visit. The trees do not give good shade in the afternoon. It got hot quick. Also the trees were shedding debris the entire time, into our wine glasses and food. And the staff on Sunday was more of a dry Sauvignon Blanc than a dessert wine. One lady was extremely condescending and rude. In spite of it all, my family had a nice afternoon, but if I had it to do over, I would have chosen a different venue. I won’t be back.
I've been a member of Wooden Valley winery for quite a few years. It's one of the most unpretentious wineries I have been to. I'm treated the same whether I'm in a button up shirt, or a worn out t-shirt. The wine is very reasonably priced and quite good. The restrooms are very accessible, clean and well designed. I like to stop at Larry's Produce (just down the road). Pick some produce for dinner and then stop at Wooden Valley for a bottle of wine.
