We had a wine tasting on a Sunday morning. Great atmosphere, wonderful views, and tasty wine! Also loved learning about the history of the winery and the Suisun Valley.
Great views and wine! We had an excellent time. Ask for Rob - he knows his stuff and won’t disappoint!
A good tasting with good wines. Friendly staff who offer wine in an incredibly lovely environment.
Incredible wines and great recommendations! Was a great time here, hope to come back someday!
No reservation needed when the doors open. I just walked in (by myself) but there is no one here. I was hesitant because there were no reservation spots available when I looked up the winery. But they happily accommodated me! I had the winery to myself for the first 45 mins of my visit! It was beautiful! Well manicured outdoor tasting space, friendly and welcoming staff. Enjoying my quick, last minute detour.
I initially chose to visit Wooden Valley because it is dog friendly. I was planning a get together with my family, for my birthday and Fairfield is the halfway point between us. We hadn’t all been together in years. I first went on a Tuesday to check the place out. Rose was an amazing host. She was sweeter than their dessert wine and very informative. We went home with four bottles of wine and a plan. When I got the email about our reservation, it said that we only had the picnic table from 1:30 to 3:00. An hour and a half was barely enough time to set up and eat pizza and cake, but not enough time to relax and catch up. I sent an email asking if I could extend the reservation an hour to 4:00. I got no reply, so I called and spoke with Alicia. She told me in no uncertain terms that that was impossible but that if no one else wanted the table we wouldn’t have to leave. She was not the least bit friendly about it. She was very abrasive and abrupt. It was too late to make other plans, so this left me scrambling to figure out what to do with six adults in an area I was unfamiliar with in case we got kicked out. That really soured the experience.
I should have paid more attention to the area where the picnic tables were on my initial visit. The trees do not give good shade in the afternoon. It got hot quick. Also the trees were shedding debris the entire time, into our wine glasses and food. And the staff on Sunday was more of a dry Sauvignon Blanc than a dessert wine. One lady was extremely condescending and rude. In spite of it all, my family had a nice afternoon, but if I had it to do over, I would have chosen a different venue. I won’t be back.
I've been a member of Wooden Valley winery for quite a few years. It's one of the most unpretentious wineries I have been to. I'm treated the same whether I'm in a button up shirt, or a worn out t-shirt. The wine is very reasonably priced and quite good. The restrooms are very accessible, clean and well designed. I like to stop at Larry's Produce (just down the road). Pick some produce for dinner and then stop at Wooden Valley for a bottle of wine.
Great winery, Excellent service. Megan took care of us and she was so kind and went above and beyond to make it fun for our family. Wine is excellent.
I can’t say enough good things about Wooden Valley Winery! This charming, family-owned gem consistently impresses with its warm atmosphere and exceptional wines. I visit almost every week, and it never gets old.
My experience is always elevated by Yesenia, who is often my server. Her knowledge of the wines is remarkable, and she has an incredible ability to make each visit feel special. Yesenia takes the time to recommend new selections based on my tastes, and her enthusiasm for the winery’s offerings is contagious.
The wines at Wooden Valley are outstanding, showcasing the care and passion that the family puts into their craft. The setting is serene, perfect for enjoying a glass or two while taking in the beautiful surroundings.
If you’re looking for a welcoming place to relax and enjoy fantastic wines, Wooden Valley is the spot. Be sure to ask for Yesenia—she’ll make your experience unforgettable!
Loved this winery because it’s more intimate and not as crowded as the other vineyards we visited in Napa Valley, also the wine is good and they have very reasonable prices, we were able to get a bottle for $20 and brought our own snacks and were able to sit at the picnic tables in their garden/patio area and have a little picnic, definitely recommend this place :)

Here’s a polished version of your review:
I am a member of Wooden Valley Winery and have always enjoyed my experiences—especially with their fantastic sommelier, Carina. However, during my recent visit, I had an unfortunate encounter with Alicia Nutile, the Hospitality Manager, which left me deeply disappointed.
Several minutes before closing, my guest and I still had one more pour remaining. Carina, who was doing a wonderful job, was instructed by Alicia that it was 5 PM, and despite being close to finishing, we were denied our last glass of wine. Alicia was matter-of-fact, stoic, and unfriendly in her approach. As the Hospitality Manager, I was shocked by her unwillingness to accommodate a small request, especially for members.
I am a member of several other wineries in the area, and I have never experienced such poor customer service. Unfortunately, based on this experience with Alicia, I am now reconsidering my membership at Wooden Valley Winery. I sincerely hope the winery takes steps to ensure better service in the future.
I love the view and it's a good place to taste wine
We showed up without a reservation and they were able to sit us immediately for a wine tasting. We had a wonderful server, the wine was great, and the property beautiful! We loved the relaxed family run winery environment and will definitely be back.
This place was listed as kid friendly. They aren’t unless your kids stay right beside you and don’t move. There is a big open courtyard with grass but, they won’t let kids run on it. I understand kids can’t be crazy all over but, it’s it’s an open grass area what does it matter if they have fun. Won’t come back!
Not family friendly at all. Terrible service. Would not recommend!
