What to say? We've been visiting here for 15 or 20 years now..even when we lived on the other side of the world, When home I made sure to visit Richard and his beautiful Bride. Years ago they had a big menu....everything is handmade there. WoooHooo. Theres my review! My bar is pretty high. Probably the best burger Ive ever had. I owned my own Steakburger restaurant. This burger is on par with mine.Absolutely delicious. Cant wait to return.
The staff was incredibly friendly, but that’s all it had going for this cafe. We were coming here looking at an old menu posted online and when arriving we were greeting by a woman at the front waiting to take orders. She told us that the establishment was under new management. My husband and I weren’t fans of our food being served on paper plates and a tray, felt like we were in a cafeteria. Consistently the #1 five star restaurant in the Big Bear Valley. A favorite of locals and tourists alike. Barbara and Richard have been amazing since the day they moved to Fawnskin and started the North Shore cafe. Best food, great atmosphere, always friendly service, and always worth the visit.
