I live a hour away. If I'm ever going that way or back it's a must to stop by there for un panesito. Tastes natural

Let's be real, La Fondita in Fillmore isn't winning any beauty contests. It's a classic hole-in-the-wall joint, the kind of place that might make you pause at first glance. But here's the thing: forget everything you think you know about hole-in-the-wall spots! La Fondita serves up comfort food that goes way beyond "good." We're talking about soul-warming, finger-lickin', "this is what grandma used to make" deliciousness. It's the kind of food that might come with a stray "nuckle hair" for authenticity (okay, maybe not literally, but you get the picture). But don't let the no-frills exterior fool you. The people at La Fondita are as warm and welcoming as the food itself. They treat you like family, and the genuine kindness just adds to the whole experience. Honestly, La Fondita is worth a trip to Fillmore all by itself. Forget fancy restaurants and trendy menus. This is about pure, delicious comfort food served with a heaping helping of heart. Do yourself a favor and check it out! You won't regret it (and you might just leave with a full belly and a smile).

Food here is OK, decent price, but I do wonder about the cleanliness of this restaurant, and this restaurant also owns the flower shop next-door, which appears to be employing children from the family under age 15 as they barely know how to provide customer service or even use the basic POS device at their flower shop.

This is sweet little place with delicious food, friendly staff, and good prices. I got the bacon breakfast burritos and it’s one of the best I’ve tasted. Their salsas and coffee is amazing too.

I don't recommend the Menudo at all. Horrible ?

Service is horrible, they take forever to take your order. They rather be talking in the back than help people. Food took as long to get. Wouldn't recommend this place.

Grabbed a breakfast burrito to go after calling ahead. Quoted 15-20 minutes and it took exactly that. Eggs, bacon, cheese, potatoes and pico. Super delicious and plenty for the hubs and me. $10.68 was a fair price. Restaurant was pretty full for Thursday mid-morning but it's pretty small, so I'm glad I ordered to go. Nice small shop and on-site baked goods for any home needs.

Service was very attentive and fast. We had the pozole and the albondigas. Both were excellent. We think this is a great little restaurant.
