My family and I were driving through Fillmore with an appetite. People I know tend to stop by El Pescador. After giving El Pescador a try once before, I never wanted to try Mexican food in the area again. I come from parents who were born and raised in Mexico. My expectation for Mexican food is simple. It’s got to taste as if it’s made with love. La Unica made my families evening. The birria burrito was everything I’m used to. The carnitas tacos were made with tortillas the way my mom makes hers. And the salsas were on point. Thank you. I hope to stop here again if I am ever in the area.

This place is culture. Its been serving generations of locals and people driving through the area. Don Enrique and his family are always very welcoming. Been stopping by since chips were .25 cents. Now my kids stop by for treats that aren’t.25 cents.
