Ordered the scallops and risotto, scallops were so overcooked and so was the risotto. Can’t call it Risotto because it definitely wasn’t Arborio rice. Tasted like short grain rice came out of a rice cooker only to be filled with cream. Husband ordered the short ribs…definitely not short ribs but some kind of chuck roast with a side of peas and mushrooms. Scallops were 3 tiny scallops, an appetizer portion for $35. And same with the short rib…3 small chunks of beef. Very strange. Our waitress was awesome and the drinks were fabulous so there is that. Will never go there again. Super bummed.

It was my very first time here and it was an incredible dining experience!! 💯🤩
I had such a wonderful evening at Bacchus! From start to finish, everything was absolutely top notch. I made reservations and was immediately sat upon walking in. I started with their Old Fashioned, which had a very generous pour (no complaints!) The deviled eggs, calamari (with lightly fried, edible lemons that were a surprisingly delicious touch), and lobster bisque were all fantastic!
For my main, I had the prime rib and it was perfectly cooked, flavorful, and satisfying. I ended the night with their bread pudding, and it was the cherry on top of an already amazing meal.
The vibe was warm and welcoming, with a live band that made the night even more enjoyable. Everyone, from guests to staff, seemed genuinely happy to be there. Our waitress, Kayla, was attentive and kind, and the owner, Eric, made a point to greet all the guests and ensure everyone felt at home.
Can’t wait to go back, this place is a gem in Folsom! 💎🥩🥃

Updated to add that this dinner gave our family food poisoning and now we all have the runs.
Went in for dinner, we got the risotto, prime rib, and short ribs. Everything was terrible. The prime rib was dry and flavorless yet somehow way too salty in the outside. The short rib was spoiled. We had to have them take it away. It tasted like they made it lasr month and just kept it in the fridge and kept serving from it. The risotto had raw solid rice grains. We left hungry. Our server was super sweet though.

My husband and I have been to Bacchus house a couple of times before and always enjoyed our experience so this was his restaurant of choice to celebrate his birthday. This time the food was disappointing. The bread basket that was brought to the table was stale. I ordered the scallops on a bed of risotto and was surprised that I only received three scallops. They were medium sized at best. It really felt like an appetizer portion and the price was $35. I just didn’t feel like it was worth it. Also the risotto was overcooked. On the pro side atmosphere is charming and cozy and his prime rib was delicious. The service was friendly but on the slow side. Probably would seek out a different restaurant next time for a special occasion.

The menu looks so good and I love the farm to fork thing. Service was excellent in the atmosphere is pretty nice. But I have to say, not one thing tasted that great. Not the appetizers. Not the mains. Even desert wasn't all that.
I've been here a long time ago and we never went back and I didn't know why. But I'm guessing it's the same reason.
Folsom seems to have a few restaurants with great looking menus and atmosphere and terrible food.
we were between Bacchus and Back Bistro, and I think we made the wrong choice. (So I don't recall the bistro being all that great either.)
The staff were amazing. (Host, waitress we're both so top notch.) And it makes me feel bad for saying anything. But I wont be back 😔

Very classy place. They had good food and drinks with excellent service.
Delicious food and amazing service. Highly recommend
Fantastic food. Great service and great food. Highly recommended.
Wonderful place to eat, socialize, or to celebrate any occasion. It is true: their Prime Rib is the best in our family has ever had. A+ Merci Beaucoup to your entire staff.
A Neighborhood Charm.
Came here to try their famous prime rib, now it was cooked perfectly to my liking, also super moist and tender. The garlic potatoes can be use a little more salt to my taste, the Brussels were so light and fluffy the way it was cooked. The calamari was ok, the BBQ ribs was delightful and falls off the bone. The deviled eggs were good. The Cabernet flight was good and love the pours! Most importantly the server Nico was So on top of his job, very sweet and attentive. Will definitely return to try their other dishes. The restaurant was Super clean and beautiful inside.

Fantastic! Made reservations for a party of 17 and they went above and beyond. Food was outstanding and the atmosphere was great. We'll definitely be back. I highly recommend!
The restaurant was decorated for Halloween! ? Our meals were great and the staff was super friendly. We have to go back to check out their Halloween party at the end of the month! ?

The menu is light but you should find something to like. Also, it is an expensive place to eat but the food is good and worth the price.
The waitress was very under standing and friendly. In fact, all the employees were polite and accommodating.
The restaurant's location is the biggest drawback to the overall atmosphere. The patios are small and right next to the road and parking lot. The inside is more attractive and they do the best with the room available.
