“A friend of ours took us to this fabulous gelato store yesterday I’ve never seen anything of sanitary as this which means a lot to me because my husband has Multiple myeloma cancer immune system. I have never in this country had gelato this good. The people that served you were wearing masks and the containers of the gelato were covered not like other stores were. They’re just sitting out exposed . The owner, whose name is Tessa and is absolutely a delight and is just so personable and caring and came over to the table that we were going to sit at without knowing that my husband had cancer and sanitize the table before we sat there, she had no idea he had cancer. The point is not only was the place sanitary like I’ve never seen any gelato place like that before, but the texture and flavor of this gelato was very much like I had in Italy and France you don’t find that here anywhere. I can’t wait to go back. It’s 45 minutes from my house and Rockland and I will drive there just to get their gelato. It’s worth the drive. It’s off of Bidwell in the BelAir shopping center. I highly recommend you try this place it’s absolutely so beautiful inside and so Clean with the flavors of these gelato and the taste is just 10 star . My husband had the coffee and the chocolate and I had the cappuccino and the salted caramel. It was absolutely yummy. I’m retired so it’s worth taking a drive over to Folsom just to get this gelato to me. It’s a destination now. I’ll be going there next week.”

“won’t be coming back to this bubble tea shop. There was no greeting when I walked in. I ordered two drinks and a piece of cake, and they didn’t ask if I wanted a receipt. After waiting six minutes, they had only made one drink. They had to remake the order to get the second drink done, and still didn’t provide a receipt. Maybe they misheard my order, but if they had given me a receipt, I would have noticed right away.

I didn’t leave a tip—first, because there was no customer service attitude, and second, because my order was to-go. Even when they messed up the order, I didn’t receive a single apology. When my order was ready, they just set it on the counter and mumbled something without caring whether I heard it. When I left, there was still no greeting, just two girls behind the counter whispering while looking at me.”

The baingan bharta was good, but I've had better. We also tried the dosa with coconut dipping sauce, and it was very crispy and tasty. Over half the menu is vegan or can be made vegan by request. I like how many booth seats there are here, and a nice window seat section as well. Very calming atmosphere with professional staff. I do wish there was more variety to the art on the walls though, as it feels a little bland.”

Back in December, my family was dining there when the owner came over and shared his story behind Riley’s, a tribute to a beloved Labrador who changed his life. A tall skinny guy says to us across the room, you can't bring drinks in your have to leave. I said we were going to buy two meals, he says "doesn't change the rules!" in a snarky tone! Customer service is everything, does it really hurt anyone that we had a coffee and tea in hand? They just lost 2 meal purchases and now we will never come back here and when one person has a bad experience generally they tell about 24 people in general conversation. I order the bento box every single time (usually switching up the main), and it’s always excellent; as a creature of habit, I have no issues with ordering the same thing every week, especially when the food is so tasty! The ingredients are consistently fresh and flavorful, and clearly made with care. You can tell everything is very thought out and intentional, from the presentation to the balance of flavors. On top of that, the service is wonderful—friendly, attentive, and welcoming every visit. I genuinely love this place and always look forward to coming back. Highly recommend!”

“I hope this one sticks! This location has had a lot of turnover in the past few years and so far Capy Cafe seems to be a winner! I am so happy to finally have a coffee/matcha cafe that is open at 7 am. Can't wait for their full menu to come out.

In the meantime, I have tried their sea salt coffee and capy matcha. The sea salt coffee jolted me awake this morning after another night of terrible sleep! Just what I needed on a Monday morning :) The sea salt coffee is Vietnamese coffee with a sea salt foam. Both the sea salt coffee and capy matcha were not too sweet.

I also visited Capy Cafe this past Saturday and the line was out the door but they got through the line quickly and the orders out efficiently. Everyone was so friendly and it seemed like the rush of customers fueled the team working.

“I grew up in the UK and have been to a lot of Indian restaurants. This place was very good. The food came out piping hot and fresh. The serving size was generous, specifically there was a lot of paneer in my radiant gold curry. It came with rice and I ordered a butter naan on the side. The owner was so personable and welcoming. I’m visiting from out of town but look forward to coming back here and hopefully bringing family to share the experience.
