Chang's Mongolian Grill at Folsom Central Shopping Center offers a cozy and satisfying dining experience with fresh ingredients, prompt service, and a working ice cream machine. This small but lively restaurant, known for its cleanliness, has friendly owners and staff, providing a great Mongolian-style Chinese menu with a variety of meat and vegetable options. Customers can create their own dishes from a selection of thin-cut meats including chicken, beef, pork, and lamb, then add vegetables and sauce before it is grilled to order. The price includes all-you-can-eat trips, a bowl of rice, soup, and wonton crackers. The restaurant features complimentary egg drop soup and fried wonton skins with sweet and sour sauce. The quality of the food is surprisingly good, and despite being busy, the staff remains attentive and offers excellent customer service. The self-serve soft ice cream adds a delightful touch to the meal. This longstanding establishment is a local favorite for those who enjoy Mongolian barbecue and often receives positive feedback, with many customers returning multiple times.
