The cook was great. The lady bartender did not appear to understand her surroundings. She was socializing most of the time. Dog bowl water was all over the floor. She did not comprehend there was water all over the restaurant floor. Karaoke night, so it was loud.
I'm no expert on English Pubs but what I do know is excellent service and delicious food and this place follows through. I took my 86yo grandmother here spontaneously for a rum and coke on her birthday. It was 7:30 on a Thursday, football was on and she was so happy because she's a huge sports fan and this was a game she doesn't get. Food and ales are great. Bartender was busy, and some food orders were really late to the point where we just canceled our order. Bartender apologized and comped us. This was my 3rd visit and I'll definitely be back. Prices are a little high here, than like minded places about 5 minutes away.
