“Riley’s on Sutter isn’t just a restaurant – it’s a place overflowing with heart, soul, and genuine connection. Back in December, my family was dining there when the owner came over and shared his story behind Riley’s, a tribute to a beloved Labrador who changed his life. He took the time to truly connect with us, and we left thinking, “Wow, this guy is different. He cares.” Fast forward seven months, and I reached out to him with a heartbreaking story about our extended family’s red fox lab, Wrigley, who we lost suddenly and tragically. I hoped he could do something small to honor Wrigley, but his response overwhelmed us. He listened deeply, reacted with empathy, and went above and beyond to honor this pup in a way that brought us comfort and healing. Riley’s on Sutter has now become a special place for our family to gather and remember Wrigley. Beyond the incredible kindness of the owner, the food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We’ve interacted with several staff members, all of whom were exceptionally nice—and yes, they all seem to be dog lovers! I even joked with one employee that it must be a job requirement. Thank you to everyone at Riley’s on Sutter for creating such a meaningful and memorable place. We are forever grateful.“

“Great first experience! I was traveling back through Folsom and saw that this place had plant-based meats. I tried both the Impossible steak and plant-based turkey, on separate mini sandwiches, to be clear. To make it vegan, I omitted the mayo and cheese. Both were still so delicious, as were the fries! The service was great as well. The gentleman that helped take our order was super pleasant, answered all our questions and was so patient with us. I really hope a shop opens up closer to me, otherwise I will be stopping back through the next time I'm in the area.“

“I just want to say not only are the sandwiches and sauce are fire, they were the kindest on thanksgiving. I am not sure if it was the manager or owner working but he is kind to let his staff take the day off. But also that special sauce is fire and bread is perfect.“

“We tried this place for the first time this week. My wife got a salad with chicken and I got an enchiladas plate. The food was better than expected, cooked well, good temperature. I was especially impressed with the roasted vegetables in my wife’s salad, the quality of the chicken, and the spicy green sauce on my enchilada. They brought our sandwiches to the table, came by to check on us, brought us to-go bags, and picked up our trays. I wasn't expecting actual service - i thought it was a 'place your order and you do the rest' type spot, so I was pleasantly surprised. Parking is easy. Great spot, great food, great service.“

“So last night I was on doordash looking for restaurants in Folsom that were open and sounded good. I don't actually use doordash other than for inspiration and to see pictures/reviews. I noticed that there was a calzone place that was supposedly close by to where I live. This was strange to me as I didn't know there was a calzone place. It turns out, the pizza guys sell calzones through doordash but there is nothing on the website or in the store, that I noticed, so I asked in person if I could order one directly from them. They said yes! Look on doordash for the different flavors, but I got the Santa Cruz, which was like a Hawaiian pizza calzone. It came out hot and it was SO delicious! They are hiding these from you, so go get you one! You just need to ask.“

“I really love being able to order food online. I select my meal, pay, and choose the time for it to be prepared. I simply show up and pick up my order right on time. No apps, no sketchy subscriptions, and no lines. As an added bonus, the food is incredibly fresh, and there are plenty of options to suit any preference.“

I work at the UPS store and they provided us with TWO catering trays AND two hundred coupons to put in our grab bags for our grand re opening. So kind. Not to mention I used to work at mr pickles and the sandwiches are yummy and they cut all the meat, cheese, and veggies daily. I also love their concern for customers with gluten allergies, everything is prepared separately with freshly washed utensils HIGHLY RECOMMEND!“
