“Riley’s on Sutter isn’t just a restaurant – it’s a place overflowing with heart, soul, and genuine connection. Back in December, my family was dining there when the owner came over and shared his story behind Riley’s, a tribute to a beloved Labrador who changed his life. He took the time to truly connect with us, and we left thinking, “Wow, this guy is different. He cares.” Fast forward seven months, and I reached out to him with a heartbreaking story about our extended family’s red fox lab, Wrigley, who we lost suddenly and tragically. I hoped he could do something small to honor Wrigley, but his response overwhelmed us. He listened deeply, reacted with empathy, and went above and beyond to honor this pup in a way that brought us comfort and healing. Riley’s on Sutter has now become a special place for our family to gather and remember Wrigley. Beyond the incredible kindness of the owner, the food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We’ve interacted with several staff members, all of whom were exceptionally nice—and yes, they all seem to be dog lovers! I even joked with one employee that it must be a job requirement. I had their Philly cheese sandwich and fries really good lots of good meat and peppers and other things in the sandwich, a little heavy on the sauce so you might want to tell them to go light on the sauce if you don’t want a lot of sauce, but the quality was good. The taste was good. The fries were outstanding will definitely be using them again in the future.“

“Great first experience! I was traveling back through Folsom and saw that this place had plant-based meats. I tried both the Impossible steak and plant-based turkey, on separate mini sandwiches, to be clear. To make it vegan, I omitted the mayo and cheese. Both were still so delicious, as were the fries! The service was great as well. The gentleman that helped take our order was super pleasant, answered all our questions and was so patient with us. I really hope a shop opens up closer to me, otherwise I will be stopping back through the next time I'm in the area.“

“I just want to say not only are the sandwiches and sauce are fire, they were the kindest on thanksgiving. I am not sure if it was the manager or owner working but he is kind to let his staff take the day off. But also that special sauce is fire and bread is perfect.“

“We tried this place for the first time this week. My wife got a salad with chicken and I got an enchiladas plate. The food was better than expected, cooked well, good temperature. I was especially impressed with the roasted vegetables in my wife’s salad, the quality of the chicken, and the spicy green sauce on my enchilada. “Love this place. I get three meals for the price of one. I fill up on the endless chicken and gnocchi soup and breadsticks, which are delicious, bring my entree home and get 2 meals out of it. The atmospher is calm and relaxing, therefore food is excellent, service is exceptional and prices are reasonable. Perfect combination for a full tummy, multiple times, and minimal strain on the budget. Plenty of parking, plenty of tables and clean restrooms. Highly recommend. A+“

“So last night I was on doordash looking for restaurants in Folsom that were open and sounded good. I don't actually use doordash other than for inspiration and to see pictures/reviews. I noticed that there was a calzone place that was supposedly close by to where I live. This was strange to me as I didn't know there was a calzone place. It turns out, the pizza guys sell calzones through doordash but there is nothing on the website or in the store, that I noticed, so I asked in person if I could order one directly from them. They said yes! Look on doordash for the different flavors, but I got the Santa Cruz, which was like a Hawaiian pizza calzone. It came out hot and it was SO delicious! They are hiding these from you, so go get you one! You just need to ask.“

“Nice variety on the menu with vegan options. Wine and beer on tap, but the beer glasses are not chilled. Snobby? Maybe but it would be a nice touch. Food is fresh, but it seems that the take out orders get priority over dine-in orders.
Overall, the ingredients are always fresh and flavorful. The fresh juices are incredible, nice blends.

“I really love being able to order food online. I select my meal, pay, and choose the time for it to be prepared. I simply show up and pick up my order right on time. No apps, no sketchy subscriptions, and no lines. As an added bonus, the food is incredibly fresh, and there are plenty of options to suit any preference.“

Not to mention I used to work at mr pickles and the sandwiches are yummy and they cut all the meat, cheese, and veggies daily.
