Back in December, my family was dining there when the owner came over and shared his story behind Riley’s, a tribute to a beloved Labrador who changed his life. He took the time to truly connect with us, and we left thinking, “Wow, this guy is different. He cares.” Fast forward seven months, and I reached out to him with a heartbreaking story about our extended family’s red fox lab, Wrigley, who we lost suddenly and tragically. I hoped he could do something small to honor Wrigley, but his response overwhelmed us. Beyond the incredible kindness of the owner, the food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We’ve interacted with several staff members, all of whom were exceptionally nice—and yes, they all seem to be dog lovers! I even joked with one employee that it must be a job requirement. “These are some of the best sandwiches I have had in the area! The bread is always nice and soft, all the ingredients are fresh and taste great. Then 2 for deal is insane. Small sub with a salad. Salads are huge and taste fantastic. I have a kid that would get the hot Bobbie every day if they could, she loves thanksgiving and this brings her joy. And if I am being honest I could probably eat at capriottis every day also. “I love this place and after eating there actually looked up to see if I could buy stock...because I think it's that good. The menu is unique and the food is fresh tasting. The managers and staff are above and beyond in terms of customer service. I have an autoimmune issue and have to eat gluten free, dairy free and try to avoid certain cooking oils. It's such a hassle and I avoid eating out as it's embarrassing (I hate having to ask all sorts of questions and have my meal made custom- to leave out ingredients). Anyway, every time I have been here they have been super accommodating. The managers are superb and the staff is friendly. I tried a different location last time I was in the city and found that experience the same. I hope this place catches on and expands as I'd love to have it as an option in more locations.“

Location: My experience with Mendocino Farms has been the midtown location and one of the places that we always see to get sandwiches to go. Great to see one not that far from Palladio and just off the freeway into the foothills. Lots of parking around the area and just off Bidwell.

Service: Staff was friendly and attentive. They have QR codes at the tables so that the servers know where to bring your food.

Vibe: Nice clean location with lots of seating inside and outside of the location. Bright colors and airy.

Food: I decided to go a little adventurous with my food this time and tried out the Veggie Banh Mi. I've been trying to go with something that sounded more healthy. The sandwich was surprisingly good. Nice toasted bun and the Tofu was well prepared. The pickled veggies tasted great. Overall a great sandwich!

“So last night I was on doordash looking for restaurants in Folsom that were open and sounded good. I don't actually use doordash other than for inspiration and to see pictures/reviews. I noticed that there was a calzone place that was supposedly close by to where I live. This was strange to me as I didn't know there was a calzone place. It turns out, the pizza guys sell calzones through doordash but there is nothing on the website or in the store, that I noticed, so I asked in person if I could order one directly from them. They said yes! Look on doordash for the different flavors, but I got the Santa Cruz, which was like a Hawaiian pizza calzone. It came out hot and it was SO delicious! They are hiding these from you, so go get you one! You just need to ask.“

“Had a small issue with my order at The Habit Burger in Folsom. I ordered a side salad, but it was rung in incorrectly and I was charged for a different item. When I brought it to the counter, the manager Connor immediately stepped in, listened, and offered a full refund with no hesitation.

What really made the visit shine was how attentive Connor was afterward. He checked on us multiple times, was incredibly kind, and even handed out gummy candy to young kids while wishing everyone a Merry Christmas — something we noticed he did with every customer. We also overheard him coaching the cashier, reminding her to always confirm orders before payment, which showed great leadership.

The food was very tasty, and Connor completely turned a mistake into a memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back.“
