“Went for the first time and really enjoyed it. Garlic fries were amazing. Would have given 5 starts but asked to have burger well done and was told they come well done. NOT a fan of pink. Willing to go back again. 😋 Yummy“

“The service here is incredible. We had a huge party and they handled us with no issues, including a couple of allergies. All the food came out on time, hot and tasty, and the drinks were always filled. Brussels, goat cheese, steak and potatoes, short ribs, rossioto, all where fantastic along with everything else.“

Back in December, my family was dining there when the owner came over and shared his story behind Riley’s, a tribute to a beloved Labrador who changed his life. He took the time to truly connect with us, and we left thinking, “Wow, this guy is different. He cares.” Fast forward seven months, and I reached out to him with a heartbreaking story about our extended family’s red fox lab, Wrigley, who we lost suddenly and tragically. I hoped he could do something small to honor Wrigley, but his response overwhelmed us. He listened deeply, reacted with empathy, and went above and beyond to honor this pup in a way that brought us comfort and healing. Riley’s on Sutter has now become a special place for our family to gather and remember Wrigley. Beyond the incredible kindness of the owner, the food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We’ve interacted with several staff members, all of whom were exceptionally nice—and yes, they all seem to be dog lovers! I even joked with one employee that it must be a job requirement. “Jessica was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we sat down, she was welcoming, friendly, and incredibly attentive. She was completely on top of everything without ever making us feel rushed, and we genuinely felt very well taken care of.

Our order came out exactly right, she checked in at all the right times, and her great attitude made the whole experience even better. It’s always refreshing to have a server who clearly cares about her guests and takes pride in providing excellent service.
