This place just brought a tear to my eye man!! I moved to Texas and Colorado for a few years and was craving L&L for like a decade, we just moved into the neighborhood and boom this place pops up. We stopped in and got the 3 meat (Katsu & BBQ) and the 2 meat with Katsu and short ribs. Every thing was phenomenal. BBQ beef with the teriyaki sauce probs my favorite but the Katsu was crispy, the bbq chicken and short ribs were tender with good char. On top of the food being fire the kid working the register was like actually a nice, smart person and not a robot like the people who work most customer service jobs now. He was doing a great job telling the customers about the different deals and options, hard to find kids like that to work nowadays so I gotta think the owners treat them decent at the least. We got the 3 meat combo the 2 meat combo 2 drinks and a strawberry dole whip soft serve, $51 with the tip. For the quality and service and cleanliness of the storefront, i will gladly pay that again. Overall great place man WE WILL BE BACK.

I’ve given this spot a shot a few times and they seem to drop the ball every time I come. The food is pretty good as it’s pretty hard to mess up Hawaiian bbq, it’s delicious! However their service is always a big disappointment. They close at 8pm and I get off of work and am in the area by about 7-7:30 when I order here. Several times I’ve called to place an order for pick up and they seem to always be out of about half of the items on their menu. I’ll order a Hawaiian bbq mix plate and they’ll always be out of beef or short ribs, I’ve also had them tell me they are out of spam masubi. Today I placed an order at 6:45 and for once they didn’t tell me they were out of everything I wanted. I drove about 15 minutes to arrive to them saying they see my order in their system but it wasn’t relayed to the chefs in the back. They kindly comped me a Hawaiian sun drink for the inconvenience however I am writing this review as I am standing here waiting for my order that was already late at 7:35 almost an hour later and still haven’t received my order while several guests behind me have been since served before me! I will not be coming again.Update: I arrived home and after everything I’ve had to endure thus far to my horror I get home and they didn’t even do my order right! They had chicken Katsu in my order in place of short ribs?! That’s the best part is the short ribs. VERY DISSATISFIED.

First visit for take-out , did not have much time to look over the menu just picked up a mix plate lunch bbq chicken/beef it was served with a scoop of mac salad and 2 scoops of rice nice portions. Service was great! will have to go back to check out other items on the menu.lots of parking , nice dinning room inside , available for delivery too Menu looks great! they do have loco moco , hawaiian sun drinks and Dole soft serve pineapple or strawberry.Mahalo!

Never ever coming here again they are super inconsistent with there portions the manager was extremely rude when I told her this was unacceptable I don't understand how a piece of a rib is a side when we been there before and gotten more . they are always always out of stuff its not worth coming here they lost me as a client. As I spoke with my partner I heard the girl mimicking me about the portion so unprofessional I hope the owner looks into this as it is going to ruin his business for not having proper training and not looking into the way his employees are behaving

Good value, the “Pick 2 Plate” filled me up for $12.99 and was tasty. I tried several of the offered sauces to spice things up adding needed flavor. Located in Folsom you cannot see this restaurant from Riley St. and just barely from Walmart’s parking lot. Clean and bright, reggae music ? playing helps the atmosphere. Adding a few outdoor tables would be a great idea. Thanks for letting me bring my little well behaved dog Lulu inside while I ate.
