It was pretty Meh... The Pulled Pork was dry, the cornbread was mushy, the Sausage was like a Hickory Farms Summer Sausage. The Apple Slaw and the fries were good. Once your food arrives.... you're on your own. Not once did they inquire about how we were doing. Never again!

I lived in Vacaville years ago, and we always went to the Buckhorn in Winters for our birthday and special occasion dinners. Now that I've moved here, I decided to try this Buckhorn for my sons birthday, 6 of us had a wonderful time! I was dropped off so don't know where he had to park or how far. The interior is large and echoey, like a warehouse, so its not the cozy, intimate style I prefer, like the other Buckhorn was. I got the tri tip, coleslaw and onion rings, he got the chicken salad, others ordered vegan, we all enjoyed it and had leftovers. Then the waitress surprised him, and won me over with a HUGE slice of chocolate cake, and it was huge! Probably a quarter of a cake! I WAS IMPRESSED! Sorry I didn't get pictures! I'll come for every birthday if they repeat that! Thank you all for a special time!

I had a large catering order for a business meeting. The food was amazing and was delivered hot and on time, I will definitely order again. I highly recommend Buckhorn. I have eaten at several of the Buckhorns and have always had a great experience.

Don't plan on going back, very high prices food not worth the price

Good afternoon,
I am very disappointed. I walked in & was unsure if I am seated first or if I order at the counter. I was greeted by a nice middle aged gentleman, and a young server with dark hear. I was offered me a menu. I waited for approximately 5ish min, standing at the entrance. A small family of 3 walked in after me. A server, young man, light skin, light hair - walked over, greeted them & offered to assist them. Completely avoided me. This family mentioned they only wanted to look at the menu, and then left. This server still ignored me. Finally the kind server with dark hair approached me & explained that I order at the counter first & then I’m seated. I declined to eat there at this point. It is very sad that the young people who work in these establishments have little or no consideration to customers across the board. It is Sunday 10/19 at around 1:45pm. It wasn’t busy at all. Hopefully this issue will be addressed, especially rolling into the holiday season.

I have never been disappointed with their salads and food in general, however, now, they serve so little wine on this little wine glasses for the same price as before. That is not cool.

That rare feeling when a visit to a restaurant leaves you not just satisfied, but genuinely happy. The tri-tip was incredibly tender and flavorful. The tacos had huge pieces of freshly fried fish cooked in clean, fresh oil — no burnt or old oil taste at all. And the California salad was so delicious, I didn’t even notice how I finished that huge plate.

The portions are very generous, and everything was absolutely delicious. We also tried the craft beer — it was amazingly fresh and authentic. I’ll remember this place as one where everything feels real — juicy, perfectly cooked meat, fresh fish, a salad full of ripe, flavorful 🥑 avocado 🥑, and truly craft beer.
The staff and servers were all extremely friendly. The restaurant itself is spotless, cozy, and offers beautiful window views. There are no unpleasant odors or kitchen smells — just a clean, comfortable atmosphere.

I’ll be recommending this spot to all my friends. Huge thanks to everyone who works here for your dedication and incredible energy — you guys are the best! ❤️👏👏👏👏
