Stayed at the nearby Hilton during a week of training and ate here three times.
I had aloo gobhi to go one night and it was delightfully flavorful. The cauliflower was perfectly sized. Along with the potatoes, both were fried to perfection.
I came back midweek for samosas and a King Fisher. The samosa filling was delicious and the pastry was the perfect blend of crispy and soft and pillowy. The two samosas were served with mint and tamarind chutneys; the tamarind was my favorite.
I returned and ordered aloo masala. When I order a side of rice, the cook asked if I wanted the masala prepared with a sauce for the rice. She custom prepared the dinner for me!
There appeared to be three generations of women running the restaurant and it felt like I was visiting their home kitchen. I had a great dining experience on each visit.

I am visiting from the UK and couldn’t believe my luck to find a vegetarian indian restaurant beside my hotel. The place was absolutely buzzing on a Saturday night and it was clear this was a local institution. The staff were so nice, being patient with my struggle to know what to order. The lady at the counter recognised the Dosa they had given me was not the “spicy” one I requested and sent it back. The staff came to check on me outside as I enjoyed my meal, the lovely Californian sunset and the people watching. I ordered a rice to go and they gave it to me no charge. Such kind folk. I loved this thriving Indian community I stumbled upon in Folsom. Topped off dinner with a mango ice cream from the market next door. Delicious.
The owner is very thoughtful and accommodating. They’ve expanded their menu to include more vegan options and SOS Free upon request.
Today we had lunch at this restaurant. I ordered special Thali. Food was delicious & had original indian taste.
They're so kind. They have great options. The chai was so good. I had the mini Thali. It was more than enough good for me. Worth the try.
GO HERE. You'll love it!
My favorite place to eat while in Folsom. Delicious high quality vegetarian Indian dishes made with love. Good medicine foods. The mini thai is always amazing.
If you are looking for testy and fresh food
with reasonable price then this is the place for you. Thali is the best part but everything else we tried like Parotha, Khandavi, Gobi Manchurian was awesome.
Restaurantji Recommends
This is a great vegetarian Indian restaurant. Their vegan items are clearly labeled which I really appreciate. It makes ordering so much easier. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They've told me that they can make most of their items vegan and substitute out ingredients if needed. They are super mindful if you order vegan items and will take extra care to ensure it's all vegan. It's very good Indian food, but it's not the best I've ever had. I give them an extra star because of their excellent service and how willing they are to accommodate their menu. I highly recommend their Gobi Manchurian!
Amazing food and service! We had multiple curries, all tasted authentic and not drowned in cream/oil, highly recommend and will be coming back!
In whole Sacramento and best food I have ever had in a Indian restaurant at reasonable price
The most delicious Indian food in and around Folsom, very clean, reasonably priced generous portions served by hospitable family. Highly recommend.
Anyone travelling via Folsom anywhere, has to stop here. The food was so homely, fresh, served with love and literally took us back to our Indian homes. Absolutely loved this place and honestly would give them more stars if possible!.
PS- Tesla superchargers right there. Best stop ever.
