Chennai Bamboo Garden

I ordered Hakka noodles, which are supposed to be indo chinese spicy and i even noted it to be spicy. When i came to pick up my order it took more than 30 minutes to be ready, even when they said it would take only 30 minutes. When i got home, and i opened the food package it was white pasta like noodles that was american style that was not even close to Hakka spicy indo chinese noodles. Overall don’t order from the Chennai indo chinese Garden in Folsom.

Catered food from the restaurant.. able to pick up on time.was told to pay in cash.
Mint/ cilantro chutney for mixed vegetable pakora was frothy and like rasam..very watery. Pakoras were more like onion than mixed vegetables. Starter paneer dish was almost charred..chicken drum sticks were also a little overdone. Chicken curry was great, but was packed in a single half tray and was not double packed..hence was messy to deal with. Naans were not packed right, hence very soggy.

Me and my wife both got an upset stomach for 2 days and have just recovered as I make this post. We ordered three items Kothu parota (which was good), chicken lollipop and something like pepper goat. Both the chicken and Mutton were horrible. The taste was fine but both of them were hard to chew and it felt like someone reheated or recooked already cooked food. Our mistake was we still went ahead and ate them because we were hungry and we only ordered three dishes. Bad mistake, should have went back and returned it. When you pay $60 for three items, You expect to have fresh food. I think that's a minimum.

The absolute BEST Indian food I have ever eaten from a restaurant. Blows India Oven out of the water. Incredibly authentic flavor that reminds you where most of the world’s spices came from.

Amazing food! I ordered the basil chicken, butter chicken, and clay pot biryani everything we ordered was delicious. Highly recommend.

Extremely slow for food delivery . I literally got my food 1.25 hours after ordering. You’ll lose your appetite before they serve food.

Veg food is very bland and not tasting good.

Amazing ambiance, customer service and most importantly the food was fantastic. We asked for spicy and it was actually spicy but not overboard. Going to add this place to the rolledex of places we frequent. Thank you!

If I could give zero stars, I absolutely would. I paid $22 for this sorry excuse of a dish that looks like it was scooped out of a hospital cafeteria tray. The portion was pathetic, the flavor was practically nonexistent, and the presentation was a total joke.

What makes it worse is that this place charges five-star restaurant prices while serving something that wouldn’t even pass at a run-down takeout joint. Every menu item is ridiculously overpriced, as if they think we’re dining at a luxury restaurant instead of being handed bland, overcooked chunks of meat in a plastic container.

On top of the terrible food, the woman working at the front desk had a horrible attitude, making the whole experience even more unpleasant. Luckily, one of the other staff members was polite and helpful, but it didn’t make up for the rest.

Save your money, your time, and your taste buds — go anywhere else.
