Bland food. Disappointing.

Saw good reviews so gave it a try. Won't be back. Avocado toast almost too salty to eat. Breakfast burrito had no flavor at all. Dull, doughy, flavorless. Very disappointing.

Coffee was good but the food was very mediocre. I got the bacon breakfast burrito and was very disappointed. There was little no bacon and was very bland, just a bunch of potatoes.

Large coffee and the sausage breakfast burrito did not disappoint. Friendly staff, nice place.

Tuxedo coffee was great. Quite disappointed with the breakfast burrito. Eggs, couple potatoes and a little meat in a medium wrap. Pretty bland. Didn't see any options for salsa or cheese to dress it up. Maybe upsell those as add on?

Got the cherry blossom white mocha which seems to be part of their seasonal menu and it was absolutely delicious. Also, their hot beverages are actually hot and not lukewarm as I’ve experienced in other places (I typically ask for extra hot but didn’t need to here).
Staff is friendly and the coffee shop itself has nice seating and some board games for folks to enjoy. We need to support our local coffee shops! What a wonderful space to be in community with others :)

Big Wave Coffee House is one of those local gems that makes you feel like you’ve found something special. It’s dog-friendly (huge bonus!) and conveniently right near the doggie daycare down the street—perfect for a pre-drop-off coffee stop.

My go-to drinks are the Honeycomb Latte (honey + vanilla) and the Cherry Blossom White Mocha (white mocha with cherry & almond). Both are on the sweeter side for me, but adding an extra espresso shot balances them out nicely without losing the flavor. On warmer days, I switch it up with an Ono Soda and add a Red Bull (they call a Red Bull fusion on the menu) for a refreshing, fizzy boost
with wings.

Beyond the drinks, the vibe here is super welcoming. The walls feature the most creative local art—mosaic-style ocean scenes made with eggshells! It’s unique, beautiful, and adds to the charm of the space. They also sell locally made stickers and handmade cards, which is such a nice touch if you’re into supporting local artists.

Whether you’re grabbing something quick with your pup, meeting a friend, or just looking to start your day with something good, Big Wave delivers. It’s thoughtful, community-focused, and consistently hits the mark. Definitely worth a visit.

Great little coffee house

Great local place. Quiet, plus they know how to make a Cortado the right way. Most other places either dont know what one is or give you a cup of foam. Nice place

Popped in here to do some work, and I'm so glad I found it. I've been here for a few hours with several things to note: Staff is very friendly and makes sure that they understand what you're ordering, and they explained all the ingredients to make sure it's what I wanted. I've seen them both tidy and disinfect this cafe at least four times in the last 3-4 hours. The bathroom is clean, and they have a sign indicating cleaning it involves hourly tasks, so it is not a forgotten part of their cafe. The coffee itself--fantastic. I had the avocado toast, and that was also delicious. Bread was perfectly toasted, not too hard and not soggy at all. Indoor seating is moderately plentiful, with a good number of tables not too crowded together, and there are several tables outside for outdoor seating. Only issue with outside is hearing the road, but that's not really something the workers have any control over. Overall, I really, really recommend this spot.

love that they’re open early! i’ve only been here once but it’s super near my work, I tried their mocha latte and it was super good. I’ll definitely have to come back and try more of their stuff.

Big Wave Coffeehouse has a great selection of fairly priced beverages and food served with aloha.
Parking is easy to find in the shopping center they're located in.
Indoor and outdoor seating is pretty plentiful. They have a welcoming environment with board games such as Connect 4, children's books, and newspapers. They accept cards, cash, and contactless payment.
They serve coffee, blended espresso drinks, tea, Gatorade, Red Bull, assorted bottled beverages, and sodas (think Hawaiian themed Dutch Bros. style). I'm not really a coffee junkie so I love their sodas. Occasionally, I'll pick up an espresso based drink when I'm exhausted, and they never disappoint. Sometimes, I'll create my own, and others, I'll grab one of their signature drinks.
For food, they have everything from bagels to breakfast burritos, brownies, oatmeal, scones, and yogurt. I love their banana brown sugar muffin.
They also sell a variety of local art for reasonable prices.
Service is always prompt and with a smile.
We're in the area once a week several months out of the year, so we always make it a point to drop by. My wife and daughters love the inviting and friendly environment and peaceful atmosphere.
