Popped in right after work to meet up with colleagues after a really crazy week for a beer. 3:45. First, staff was nice but firm on not moving tables or chairs together because we didn't have reservations. We were told we had to sit at separate tables. 3:45 the place had 2 people at the bar and 2 couples in a corner. We thought we were safe. I had no idea who from our group would pop in as i had just emailed my staff saying join us. Owner then asked who arranged this, and decided to make me feel absolutely unwelcome because he is a small restaurant and who is dumb (my word) enough to decide they want to go to a bar without reservations on a Friday.Final count was13. We left before 5. Never did any patron have to wait for a table while we were there. Our server was sweet so the 4 atars are for her. We stayed as I wasn't sure who else might come in for our group, but Im not planning to return. Sad because reviews say this place is like Cheers.

We used to like to come here for fantastic ribs on Thursday afternoons. The best place ever for ribs. There was a nice female waitress, too, who was always nice and remembered us. Then, one day late last year our view of this place changed completely. My wife called for a reservation and was told one wasn’t needed. We showed up later than we intended and encountered this young man with dark hair who said that there were no seats. Several were empty, though. He said they were reserved. We told him that we called and were told that we didn’t need a reservation. Then came the bomb: “No one would have told you that.” This fellow was strongly suggesting we were lying. I restrained myself and we left. It has taken me months to write this because I wanted to let my anger disappear. This young guy is in the wrong job. Minimally he needs retrained. To be frank, he was rude and a jerk. On a more objective note: I think The Corner has a seating problem. Many of their seats are elevated and are uncomfortable for seniors like ourselves. The restaurant is small also. It appears that as a result they will not give you a table for 4 if there are only 2 in your group. They wait until a party of 4 comes in. That is my interpretation anyway. It’s all about the dollars, it seems. I get it, but it seems there would be some concern for the customers. That’s fine if this is their policy. But the Corner and its policy is not for us. Nor are rude service staff. Any restaurant whose employee infers my wife is a liar isn’t for me. It reveals the management has poor judgment. I wish them the best and hope they change. But we won’t be back. Too bad. The Corner lost two “honest” customers mainly because their staff insulted their character.

We visited for lunch on Friday and were seated immediately. The food came pretty quick after we ordered.

- Old fashioned burger with fries: the portion was big. The patty was well cooked and the buns were soft and fluffy. The burger tasted good. The fries were ok: hot and crispy but tasted like store bought.
- Lobster roll with chips: they gave generous portion of lobster meat. The lobster was perfectly cooked (not chewy) but it was lack of flavor. The bread part was good and soft but it was only one slice of bread. I wish that they gave bigger so I could enjoy it with the lobster meat. The chips are my favorite! They are crispy & thin and perfectly seasoned.

One star because I have to in order to post. Went for the first time Sat night to meet friends and watch the baseball playoffs. The owner flew off the handle when my husband said the Yankees suck. The bar patrons were having a great time, until he was literally yelling at us. I had to tell the owner “Enough! We get it”. You could hear a pin drop for the rest of the game. We had other customers express their shock. He caused a huge scene saying it was a family restaurant and he won’t tolerate swearing. We heard others saying actual swear words but he said nothing to them. Guess he must be a Yankees fan. It’s a bar and it was night and there was not one child in there. Therefore, atmosphere was a zero and food was ok at best. The owner is scary and if he does that publicly I can only imagine how he acts behind the scene. Those poor servers.

Starting with the positive…servers were nice and attentive. Food was average. Owner is a monster. Will never go there again.

The servers were great, the food was delicious, The serving sizes definitely outpaced the price. The prices on the food look high but the amount of food you get for that price it's very good. I feel like most of the plates could split between two people and still be a satisfying meal. Their pizzas were all great and their burgers were picture perfect and tasted as good as they looked. The assortment of drinks that they had available were great.
If you're on this side of town, definitely stop in at the corner tavern and grill, especially later in the evening as parking was really good then.
