Crawdads on the Lake Reviews
Happy with our first visit - we enjoyed the food, the music and the service.
We'll be coming back soon!
I don't take leaving a negative review lightly but the owner here is the epitomy of the "we've got a great location so I don't actually care about customers" mentality. When confronted with the fact that what she was saying was incorrect based upon their own website and postings she became confrontational and full of attitude (based upon reviews elsewhere it seems we aren't the only ones who have received this treatment from her). Crawdads on the Lake is a beautifully renovated restaurant with a stunning patio offering scenic views of the river. The atmosphere is lovely, especially with the Christmas lights and live music, which can make it a bit loud for conversation at times. The staff is friendly and helpful; they provide attentive service, with some guests praising the bartenders for their efficiency. Some dishes, such as the Shrimp cocktail, Cajun pasta, and Jambalaya, have received positive feedback for their taste and large portion sizes. However, some reviewers still find certain items, like the Crab Cakes and Nashville chicken sandwich, to be inconsistent in quality and temperature.
Valet parking is mandatory on weekends, which some guests have found inconvenient, though the valet staff, like Justin, work hard to manage the situation. Despite a few initial hiccups, Crawdads on the Lake offers a pleasant dining experience, and many guests are looking forward to returning. The restaurant may still need to address some food quality issues to attract repeat customers.
