We have been here multiple times since the place opened and the service and quality of food seems to be getting worse with each visit. Tonight we waited almost an hour for wings and another hour for our meal, it was actually an hour and forty three minutes in total but close enough to call it two hours. The bar and dining area was not full when we arrived and we were not informed that it was an hour wait for appetizers. The portion sizes seemed smaller than normal and despite the long wait the food wasn’t hot and fresh. The atmosphere is nice and the bands are fun but unfortunately we don’t have anything good to say about the food or speed of service. We would happily take the service and quality of food of the old cliff house over a nicely remodeled place with poor service and okay food.

Great atmosphere, fantastic job updating this place from the previous occupant. The food is good, love that you have some craft beers on tap.

This place is not good as the old cliff house of folsom food is pretty bad and salty and it seems precooked service is bad and the manager doesn't care at all when you tried to talk to her don't waste your money anf time.

I went on Sunday after a hike with my husband. We wanted to try the place since we passed by it everyday. We were sat on the patio and I asked to turn on the heater, the waitress said they didn’t had propane so we had to sit on the cold. After a 20min we received our appetizer we had the muscles with chorizo the broth was really water down, not good at all and bread was day old. Presentation was pretty.
But to my surprise the table next to us asked and they could turn on the heater for them and they did. So of course I was upset. I asked the waitress to move us to a table inside and she did. Still was really cold inside. We waited for another 30min for our mains to arrive and yes, pasta was over cooked and greasy you couldn’t even see the sausage in the pasta. My husband order crab grilled cheese and the only thing good on that sandwich was the sauce. Fries were frozen too. So we decided to skip on the dessert. And wait to my surprise after paying I was to give a tip when I saw it! They charged us the 21% large party gratuity. I couldn’t find the waitress to let her know so I spiked with the hostess since she was the only one paying attention to the customers. She said she will speak with the waitress and have that fee refunded. That happen on 11/10 and so far no refund. So, if you’re planning to have dinner there check your receipt before you leave.

Food flavor is more important to me. Nice bar and location but food is a little disappointing.

Went with my wife for our anniversary dinner. We both enjoyed our meals. I had the Angus beef burger and would gladly order it again. We were there at night so we couldn't see much of the lake or scenery, so we would like to go back in the daytime to experience the views with an outside table.

I've been anxiously waiting for my 1st visit to Crawdads on the Lake. Reviews from their opening weren't good, but I thought time would iron out the wrinkles. It hasn't so far!
My visit was mid-afternoon. Only a handful of tables had guests. My friend and I ordered cocktails, river chips, and fish n chips. The service was terrible! The drinks had no kick! The Fish was 3 small, fancy fish sticks! On a positive, the fries were really good, and the outdoor dining has the view we've all missed! The meal was $85! Not worth it!

First time here for happy hour. Didn't see a selection of food for happy hour. The brunch may be better I'll have to try it but the blackened fish tacos were a big no! Did not taste fresh, tasted like microwaved boxed fish nuggets. Ugh. A five star for the atmosphere though. Too bad for the food from what I had. Food is more important to me than the atmosphere.

I came here 2 days in a row with my Girlfriends for lunch had the 😋 cajun shrimp salad then, came back for dinner.
As long as it’s on a weekday no problem 😉 good luck on Friday nights and weekend nights though as it is always packed.

My first time there. Food was delicious. Had the Gumbo and Jambalaya. Server was a pleasant gal and had a great attitude. Balcony view at night was so relaxing.
