Well, while the food was still delicious I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the store. when we walked in there was one person in the store yet the condiment counter was disgusting. BBQ sauce all over, trash, and one small container. Exactly what were the employees doing? Speaking of employees, two young ladies, one at least smiled. Otherwise, no greeting, no thank you. We inquired about the new cups and it was like we asked her to hand over her cell phone. When we told her the BBQ sauce was empty her response was to pump it harder, thus why the BBQ sauce was all over the counter. It was definitely not the same experience we've had in the past.

This is truly "good food fast" vs. "fast food". It is a little more expensive than many fast food options, but the food quality is on par with any full-service BBQ restaurant I have visited. My favorite is the two meat plate with pulled pork and brisket, with mac cheese and beans as sides. Not only is it the best around, the portions are generous. By the time I enjoy the meal and the complimentary ice cream cone (or 2), I always leave full or take some home. The service has been exceptional, which I attributed in large part to the young man who cuts and preps the meat. First of all, he has been there a while. Secondly, he preps the meat like a real chef (vs. an average fast food worker). He is thorough and efficient, and goes beyond his primary job... on one visit, someone didn't show up to work, leaving them shorthanded. He and another person behind the counter really stepped up and keep the quality and service at a very high level. Of course, the food is amazing, especially for a chain/franchise. I met the owner one a couple of occasions, which explains why this location maintains good help and high quality food, even in his absence. I highly recommend.
