So sad to see this place close. We have been here so many times with our kids. Our favorites were the clam chowder and lobster roll. Lots of good memories. Good luck on your future endeavors.

This place has the best lobster rolls and lobster pie on the West Coast, maybe even better than the East Coast!

BE AWARE! Their Google hours are wrong. We went on a Monday with family and they were closed at 4:45. So disappointed.

Great food, and wonderful service! We loved the funky interior with the variety of artwork and decorations. I had the Reuben sandwich and my wife had the mussels. Both of our meals were excellent. We will definitely be back!

It's a funny space, with hodge-podge art all over, and themes of both prison and New England. Excellent service, making us feel right at home. I had the pastrami sandwich and loved it. Super tender and served on delicious and almost fluffy rye bread. They cooked my kid's burgers to temp, definitely quality beef! The lobster sandwich was solid too. Fries are typical beer-battered, but they also offered ranch and it was delicious. We had the wontons too, and they were clearly made in house and delicious. Definitely recommend for a casual meal with family and friends.

Everything that we ate was delicious and made in-house. I had the special beast burger which was cooked to my liking (medium). The salads were great and the fries were breaded. We sat outside with my dog after a vet visit and they gave her water and a special plate with peanut butter and treats. We didn’t even have to ask! The service was wonderful. Our waitresses were very nice and we had fun talking with them.

Had the pastrami, too much fat. The sweet potato fries were good. Weird vibe, a mixture of Asian decor and beach with pictures of Folsom prison. The air was out as well and given it was late August that made it stuffy. Prices were 8% higher than what they show online at their website. This was probably a great place once.

We stopped in here this afternoon for a bite, not really sure what we were in for, but really appreciating the punny name

This place is both DARLING and delicious

I had the tuna sandwich (“New Fish on the Blok” — special shout out to the BREAD omg — I will see you in my DREAMS) and hubs had the “Citizen’s Arrest” burger — both were excellent! Our server (Kerri, maybe?) was so welcoming, kind, and generous with her advice on what/how to order (and I am very glad I listened — did you know you can mix red wine vinaigrette and poppyseed dressing to create a fabulously unique flavor profile?! Game changer!) and we enjoyed both The Love Boat and the Andy Griffith Show reruns on the TV (cue the wholesome family vibes!)

The space is delightfully eclectic — from Minions to ceramic samurais to art by local artists to rock crystals to tiny buddhas to jade plants decked with little pumpkins; it’s a menagerie of lovingly curated tchotchkes) — and the menu itself is full of jailhouse pith and vinegar (did I have a tossed salad? you bet your butt [HA!] I did)!

Overall, such a win — looking forward to the next time we’re in the area and can visit this place again!

Great food selections that are different than normal. Two or three specials daily that are very good.

I had a fantastic pulled pork sandwich and the pastrami is excellent coming from someone on the East Coast that means something as I'm pretty particular about pastrami sandwiches.

Servers are friendly and prices are reasonable. I am looking forward to trying the gumbo which sounds delicious and is a family recipe but usually sells out quickly.

Will definitely be going back and highly recommend a visit.

The bowl of clam chowder was only half full, but that’s OK because it was watered down and only about three chewy clam pieces were in it. Very disappointing. Also ordered the club sandwich which had breaded chicken probably from Costco. Few strips of bacon were very chewy. The sweet potato fries were OK, but that was four dollars extra that the waitress didn’t mention. One very small cup of coffee with no refills offered. Being a waitress is a hard job but no thank youse no smiles and when asked for something she said ‘I only have two hands’ like we were imposing. $40 bill +6 dollar tip for bad service.

Decent food but not worth the price
Service was good but feel bad they’re all seniors that should be retired, but she was nice.
