Islands Restaurant Folsom

Came in by myself and I was seated outdoors quickly but that's about it. I waited for a menu and no one brought me anything. They told me to scan a code on the table or if I wanted a paper menu and I told them I wanted a paper menu but they took like 15 minutes to bring me one. The servers took orders of other people and got their food already while I was just sitting there waiting for a menu. People came after me, were seated, got menus and were eating before me. They finally brought me a menu, took a long time to bring me my food compared to everyone else. Didn't bring any napkins either until I was done eating. I also sat waiting for my check while the servers laughed and joked with other customers. The servers checked on everyone but me. Food was okay, about $16 for a small burger that can be finished in a few minutes. Not coming back due to poor service. No wonder why there's no wait here compared to surrounding restaurants. Absolutely zero tip.

Burgers and fries are amazing a little pricey but great place for an outing

I live in Somerset so its a drive to come here but worth it. I am hooked on their Yaki tacos. Excellent food and service

Today we had lunch at Islands and while the food and the staff was friendly enough it was a disappointing experience. We were taken to two different tables as the staff was trying to keep everyone 6' apart, not a big deal but they could have been prepared for that. The hostess brought us to a table and said our waitress would be there shortly. Didn't leave any type of menu, paper or otherwise for us. We waited about 10 minutes before we had to stop a staff member to ask for assistance. Finally a waitress comes to take our drink order and when we ask about the menus we were told we need to scan the QR code and download the menu. This would have been incredibly helpful information to have nearly 20 minutes ago when we were seated. Oh but wait first you have to have an app that will scan QR codes. The places didn't seem super busy to me but the service was slow. The people across from us came in a good 10-15 minutes after us but had their food before us. Again the staff was nice and I realize everyone is adjusting to all the new requirements for COVID19 but this definitely could have been a better experience we there for over 90minutes.

The food was great as always, as were the drinks... however, the service was very slow. I do appreciate all the staff being masked up for COVID prevention.

Islands is a very family friendly, local restaurant. They have a large menu, with the highlight being their burgers. Unfortunately when I received my burger last time, they had put too much sauce on it which made it very messy to eat. I only ended up being able to eat half of it because of this. The decorations, while unique, could use a little updating. The service is always very polite. It's always great eating here, it's just easy to forget.

Honestly, the best Islands my boyfriend and I have been to! Great service, very clean, and the food is amazing!

Great food. Loved the burgers. They are big and delicious. The staff is wonderful. Everyone was very upbeat and nice. Great for kids too. Took two 9 year olds and they loved it. Awesome atmosphere in the place too.

Our first visit to Islands in a really long time. Folsom location - right by Palladio. Plenty of parking in their private lot. We came around 6pm and were seated right away. It's a Hawaii/Surfing themed restaurant. Good for kids. It was cold inside.

Food has always been good and they have very friendly staff.

Went here for my birthday with my friend who shares a birthday with me. The food was genuinely good for the price and our complimentary birthday dessert was the first restaurant brownie that I actually enjoyed. 5/5
