Sometimes you go to a restaurant and it's really good, great even. More often than not you want to relive that experience so you go back and it just isn't the same as that first time. Well, having been to Manderes more than a few times now I can confirm that the food and service is consistently great. Whoever is back there cooking up this meat knows what they're doing, hats off to whoever you are. Can't wait to return!

Never a bad meal here! Peruse the menu, you won't be disappointed. Love the laid back ambience and beers on tap. The mushroom risotto and anything steak on their menu are my favorites!

A Surprising Discovery My culinary journey recently led me to Manderes in Folsom, a location that had somehow eluded me during my year living in the area. On a return visit to Folsom, driven by hunger and a craving for a good ribeye steak, I decided to give Manderes a try, intrigued by the ribeye offering on their menu. As per my tradition, I started with a glass of Pinot Noir, opting for Belle Glos over Boen, setting the stage for what I hoped would be a delightful meal. However, my initial excitement was tempered by the absence of a classic wedge salad with blue cheese dressing on the menu, a staple in my steakhouse experiences that serves as a benchmark for my dining satisfaction. Recognizing that Manderes leans more towards a bar atmosphere than a traditional steakhouse, I adjusted my expectations accordingly. Despite its unassuming location at the end of a strip mall, Manderes quickly filled with patrons, transforming from a quiet dining spot to a bustling establishment. This shift hinted at the hidden gem that Manderes represents to those in the know. The main event, a 16-ounce ribeye priced at $30.99, exceeded my expectations. It was cooked to a perfect medium-rare, with a well-distributed fat content that enhanced its flavor. The steak boasted a satisfying sear and required no additional seasoning, a testament to the skill behind the grill. This experience was overall a pleasant surprise. In addition, the service was fantastic. For dessert, I chose the vanilla bean bowl, a refreshing alternative to my usual cheesecake preference, featuring three scoops of vanilla bean ice cream drizzled with chocolate. While not my standard fare, it served as a satisfying end to the meal. Manderes proved to be a remarkable find, offering a quality steak experience outside the confines of Folsom's fine dining establishments. For those seeking a delicious ribeye without the pretense of upscale dining, Manderes is a worthy destination. Its unpretentious atmosphere, coupled with the quality of the food, makes it a must-visit for steak lovers and those looking for a genuine dining experience in Folsom.

Came to Manderes with my boo to celebrate me beating cancer! This place was soooo good! We got the seafood stuffed portobello mushroom as a starter! It had so much flavor and made our mouths water! I got the jambalaya without sausage. My partner got the steak with mashed potatoes and greens. We both got the red blend wine. All was super amazing and we really enjoyed ourselves! Out waiter was super nice and the atmosphere was super chill not crowded at all.

I see I left a 4 star review back in 2013 for this place. It was newer. And that was over 10 years ago. I need to update it to 5 stars all the way! I only eat out about 6 times a month, and honestly, 3 of 6 times are always Manderes. Best staff and amazing, high-quality food. My only wish is that they would get a full bar. But they do have White Claw, and that satisfies me!

We came here with friends the night before the superbowl and we all thought it was a nice space to hangout and even watch sports as they had multiple large screen televisions. The space was bar/restaurant with high tops and regular tables that only served beer and wine. The menu was eclectic. They had typical bar food, but also steak, Korean bbq, risotto and other items not typically on the same menu. All the dishes were fine and the meats cooked to our liking, but flavors were on par with 3 stars for this humble Yelper. They had a decent selection of beers and service was prompt and friendly.
