I was looking for veggie based food places in the Folsom area and came across Mantra. I decided to place an order for pickup Saturday evening and ordered the Kerala Veg Korma & Aloo Paratha. I was very impressed with the excellent quality of the food! The flavors of the Korma were distinct and I could clearly taste the cauliflower, coconut milk, spices, and other veggies harmoniously coming together. I ordered it spicy and it was comfortably hot without being overwhelming. The Aloo Paratha was similarly well made. Even the rice was exceptionally fluffy and tasty! Good service as well, I ordered pickup and my order wasn't immediately ready, but within a couple minutes no less than three people had come by to check on the status and quickly brought out the freshly made food. Highly recommended!

After hearing a lot of good things about this restaurant we visited today but got totally disappointed. Test of food is too dull. Peanuts used in the dish were very old, smells, parathas from frozen packets.

Excellent taste and service. The staff went above and beyond to get us what we wanted even on a day when they had less team members available at work. Sukhjyot (I might be spelling it wrong) and team, thank you for making it a great evening for us.

We drive from Natomas in Sacramento to go enjoy their South Indian Food. We are a big family so normally go for birthdays special occasions in big group but seems like everyone in family feels the food does not taste as good as it used too. We did not like the food when we went this last Sunday not sure if they have different chef/cook. The reason we drove so far was cuz the dosa used to be so yummy. The sambhar they gave us tiny bowls and even that is like only halfway filled not enjoyable to eat dosa without sambhar and I am not sure if they normally don't have enough Masala but seems like they only put tiny spoon last few times. Dosas were all soft missed that authentic crispy taste. When we used to go there 2-3 years ago the dosa was just so crispy and yummy. The service still is great but they need to work on the quality of food. On a good note the desserts were all yummy especially the gajar halwa ... yummy. I think all the family agrees that we need to look for a new South Indian favorite since last 3 visits were disappointing with the main entree being a hit n miss quality and tastewise.

Mantra is a pure vegetarian restaurant. Food is good most of the times. Sometimes we have ran into issues with stale pav or oily vada or runny chutney... However service needs lot of improvement. Unfortunately that is the same story across all Indian restaurants.

This was our first visit to Mantra and we’re so pleased! I wish we tried it sooner. Basically everything was amazing, price, music, chai, food and the service was friendly. It took me back to being in India and enjoying the culture and food. Please go to Mantra, you won’t be disappointed and get the Samosas.

What more to say about this restaurant and its staff (hands down for the manager, Prince and his assistant, Daman). Awesome service, great taste, best quality. My permanent go to place whenever I visit that area.

A big hug to you guys for making our life easy for the days when we were in SFO.

Had lunch on a Sunday. Mantra had a special, kind of like a taste of India with about 12 mini dishes including two kinds of rice, plus dessert for $16. By the time I finished the food, I barely could finish the included dessert. I really enjoyed tasting the different dishes. There were 1 or 2 dishes that were a little spicier than I like, all the other ones were not spicy at all.

My favorite was a curry pronounced Dhal Ta Ka. There was a lady who appeared to be Indian who I heard say she doesn't like Dosa, until she had it today. Sounds promising for other dishes! I would like to try other dishes when I pass by the area again.
