Everything is way too salty. Xiaolongbao, the soup dumpling has way too much Chinese five spice flavors in the stuffing. The pork bun is alright. Pork is too salty. The dumpling doughs are good. Stuffing is OK. Again too salty.

I wanted to try a new spot close by to my work, they did not disappoint! I got the pork soup dumplings & pork buns and both are delicious. They were more than happy to explain to me what sauces to pair with them as well, thank you guys! Will be nice to have somewhere new to go to for lunch with good food. ?

Wow. Got a little bit of everything for a group of us and it was all amazing! Steamed pork buns and the soup dumplings were the crowd favorite. The seasoned veggie salad was also fantastic. I will be going back there for sure.

Kim here for lunch with my kids and the waiter went to the restroom came out without washing her hands and served us food. We seen that so we got grossed out so we tried to get a refund to go somewhere else and eat and they refuse to give us a refund, so we tried the food anyway and the food was horrible meat was undercooked the meat had a horrible smell that night I came home I end up having food poisoning would not recommend coming here

Do not come here very horrible place and horrible service A worker was spitting up mucus and did not wash her hands and they were touching all the food with no gloves. The meat smelled rotten. would not recommend coming here and it’s very expensive. Do not waste your time. Or money You will get sick from this food. The owner is very disrespectful.

I realized a lot of the reviews for this location was for the business that was here prior to the Hometown Dumpling. So if u are reading reviews, keep that in mind. It looks like a family run business, they were all very friendly. The dumplings are made from scratch and were so very good! Their spring rolls were fresh too, we didn't ask if they hand made those as well, but they were better than any other deep fried spring roll we have tried. We will definitely be back to try other items in the menu. It's great that it's close to home as well.

Better dumpling options in Folsom.Computer ordering system didn't specify which were boiled, steamed, fried or how many came with each serving. The guy working there was in flip flops? Isn't there something in the Health Code standards for restaurants that says commercial kitchen workers can't have their feet exposed?I tried the deep fried sausage side order and it was disgusting. I tried to pour out the soy sauce but nothing came out because the spout was clogged with something--I wonder when it was cleaned last. Finally, the sauerkraut and pork dumplings just weren't that great. Last thing, place smelled funky...and the soda machine didn't work.

I have been here June 2022 when this place was called Poke and Boba. I dropped in here while waiting for my husband to pick up our car from a nearby shop. It was clean inside. Tried a 3 scoop poke bowl and a boba fruit tea. The poke ingredients were fresh and the boba was delicious.
