Saw the band, Cold Blood, which is an East Bay Grease band. It's has similar roots to Tower of power and it was a great show. Service and atmosphere is fantastic but don't go there for a meal unless it's not during a show. Foods are limited but you can eat at least a snack or two. Across the street is probably one of the best pizza places that you're going to find. I like sitting upstairs for the venue since you can see pretty much everything. Warning, the floor upstairs is very sticky and it's carpet. So, think about that when you go.

A few of us went to powerhouse celebrating my 30th birthday and my sister in law had a little too much to drink toward the end of our night. She was stumbling and having a hard time standing but she wasn't obnoxious or loud and my husband and his brother calmly were trying to keep her up and get her to a space where she could sit down. The security guards/bouncers saw this and apparently deemed my young sister in law some kind of threat and immediately started pushing her, my husband and brother in law out extremely rudely. They complied and understood being asked to leave, but it didn't need to be in the manner it was handled. Once outside my husband asked if they could have a chair and some water to allow my sister in law to sit down so she wouldn't crack her head if she fell on the asphalt. The security guards said NO and laughed it off so rudely. It was extremely unprofessional and uncalled for given that my sister in law is a young girl who got a little too drunk (many of us have been there) and was not a threat to anyone at all. After very aggressively kicking us out they could have helped with two small things when we asked but instead yelled "get off the property" and one of them even made a "squaring up" motion at my husband when my husband was doing nothing of the sort and was technically no longer on the property. We had a great night leading up to this, and the band was great, but these "security guards" spoiled all of that completely. None of what they did showed any attempt at de-escalation, and one seemed downright looking for a fight. Based on other reviews we aren't alone. We won't be back.

Had a few beers. Enjoyed the live music. Played on stage for half an hour. Unique place and clientele. Music is blued and rock, mostly. Saw plenty of people past 60 or 60, interspersed with aging musicians, etc. Dressed in black leather or casual wear, sitting at the bar, spectators or even dancing...on a Sunday night.
I like this place but my last experience here was terrible, nothing to say about the place I had some fun here with some friends, but yesterday I left $8 tip for my bartender ( old man ) that always I leave good tips but for some reason I can’t afford too much at this time . I was leaving the bar and he called my by the door and told me that’s it ? You sure showing my 8 1$ bills for me and I said yes what’s wrong ? He shaked his head and got inside . This happened in front of my friends and a lot people around . I fell so bad and uncomfortable with this situation. But ok me and my friend will have a fun in another place now .

Folding best music destination. Unique, fun, with love music in main room, patio bar with DJs, and Scarlet's craft bar. Some of the best bartenders in town. Creative drinks, cool and casual vibe.Parking: Can be difficult to find parking close by. Large garage a couple of blocks away, and free shuttle off you don't want to walk it.
