Riley’s on Sutter isn’t just a restaurant – it’s a place overflowing with heart, soul, and genuine connection. Back in December, my family was dining there when the owner came over and shared his story behind Riley’s, a tribute to a beloved Labrador who changed his life. He took the time to truly connect with us, and we left thinking, “Wow, this guy is different. He cares.” Fast forward seven months, and I reached out to him with a heartbreaking story about our extended family’s red fox lab, Wrigley, who we lost suddenly and tragically. I hoped he could do something small to honor Wrigley, but his response overwhelmed us. He listened deeply, reacted with empathy, and went above and beyond to honor this pup in a way that brought us comfort and healing. Riley’s on Sutter has now become a special place for our family to gather and remember Wrigley. Beyond the incredible kindness of the owner, the food is phenomenal and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. We’ve interacted with several staff members, all of whom were exceptionally nice—and yes, they all seem to be dog lovers! I even joked with one employee that it must be a job requirement. Thank you to everyone at Riley’s on Sutter for creating such a meaningful and memorable place. We are forever grateful.
We've been here twice now and both times the food was excellent and prepared fast. Highly recommend!
Rilays on Sutter is a gem in Folsom!
The outside patio is fantastic, offering a great view of downtown that really adds to the dining experience. The service was top-notch, especially thanks to Brittney, who was incredibly attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.
The food was excellent with a thoughtful menu that had something for everyone, and the wine selection was equally impressive.
Overall, a lovely spot with great ambiance, perfect for a relaxing meal with a view!

Came in during the dia de los muertos celebration outside. We were able to get a table for 2 with no wait. I ordered the Manhattan pizza. It was delicious. Perfect crust and everything very tasty.

They were able to accommodate our family with ease. The waitresses were pleasant and attentive. The food was excellent!
Parking: The parking lot access from Sutter is closed off. Being handicapped, the walk from the lower parking lot was exhausting. Too bad something can't be worked out with the City for access from Sutter.
Wheelchair accessibility: None from Sutter Street.

Bacon Old Fashioned is yummy drink but a little expensive!!!!!!!!
My friend & I were visiting the area. After some nice downtown shopping, we stopped here for lunch. The patio dining area was really nice, comfy wood stools, fans & heaters, depending on need. This day, the fans were great. I ordered a hard cider, they were out, so the smart server suggested a mimosa. It was served in a pint glass ?? I ordered the steak sandwich which was honestly one of the best I've ever had! I was also over the moon to learn they offer gluten-free buns, a biggie fir someone like me who is gluten-free, not by choice. The sandwich had a horseradish sauce on it that I think made the whole thing - SO good! My friend had the seared tuna salad & said it was very good. Just about everything was perfect save for one detail, our server never did a check-back visit. Not once. As an industry professional, to me, this is literally the #1 most important step of a dining experience. We did noticed that she looked over & yes, if there was an issue we could have flagged her down.. but really not the point. It's so important to check in with diners & make sure everything is good. Her tip would have been larger if she'd just done that one vital thing.

Dropped by this spot for a quick dinner and found out we still had time for Happy Hour. Ended up ordering 4 dishes that were delicious and reasonably priced. Service was fast and attentive. Will definitely come back to try other menu items.

Seems only good to drink at. Server ordered s burrito for me when i ordered a taco salad. Food menu is blah at best. Burrito was cold. Poor communication among staff as waitress didn't know we were there for 5-10 minutes.
