My boyfriend and I come here on the weekends because we live so close. When we get Cheryl as our server its the best! She is so sweet and has great customer service skills. She's very timely with food and drinks. Super kind waitress!

We have been visiting this place since 2021, and for many years it was associated for us with a warm atmosphere, Spanish cuisine, attentive staff, and the feeling that you were truly welcome there – whether you came as a couple, with friends, or with small children.

We have been here at different stages of our life: when we were just choosing a home, when I was pregnant, and later when our son was born. Every time, we left with wonderful impressions and delicious food.

Unfortunately, our visit today completely destroyed that image.

The restaurant has changed its name and concept, but still kept elements of the old interior, which creates a feeling of an unfinished transformation. In addition, the restaurant continues to use photos from the previous establishment, which no longer reflect the reality and are misleading for guests.

The most disappointing part was the attitude of the staff. We were greeted in a cold manner. When we asked to be seated away from the busy area because we had a stroller and a baby, the staff reacted with visible confusion and even tried to discourage us, offering a high chair for an infant who is obviously too young to sit. Despite the restaurant being advertised as kid-friendly, we felt no understanding of our situation.

We were also surprised when we were asked, “Are you just here for drinks or are you going to eat as well?” It sounded as if our presence was somehow undesirable.

The food was another disappointment. The jambalaya that was described as a spicy dish looked and tasted more like plain rice mixed with sliced sausages and fried shrimp, without the expected flavor or presentation.

A separate and very unpleasant issue was the outdoor heaters. They were not working, and the staff started refilling them with gas and lighting them with a lighter right in front of the guests. In the end, the heater next to our table was never turned on, despite our request. It was cold, our children were freezing, our four-month-old baby cried for about ten minutes because of the cold, and we had to ask for the check and leave as quickly as possible.

The only positive thing I can mention is the presence of a changing table in the restroom. But this alone is not a reason to come and pay for a full family dinner.

It is very sad, but for us this place is no longer what it used to be. We are unlikely to return, and unfortunately, we cannot recommend it anymore.

You need to eat at Riley's. Great, easy to enjoy menu - absolutely the best onion rings ever. All of the employees were so friendly, and just the right amount of attentive (you'll never be lacking anything but they won't rush you). They also donate a portion of Riley's burger sales to a local Lab rescue.

A fun spot right in old town Folsom. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and the service was very nice. Our burgers and tacos were outstanding. Thank you

First time here since the Hacienda. No complaints about the cocktails 🍸 but, the grilled chicken on our salad was dry like it was yesterday’s dinner. That’s all.

Great food and beer and great staff. We were checked on by multiple people and never waited for anything. On the second level with a nice outdoor area with heaters and a view of the Historic Folsom area. We will return for sure. We rode our bikes from the American River Bike Trail and there was a fence to lock the bikes up.

First time at this place with a table of eight out on the deck. They have heaters in place if needed. I can be a little loud being right on Sutter street but that is too be expected. We ordered some apps and drinks before our main course was served. From the tacos to the bowls, prime rib and a lentil curry dish everything tested fresh and properly cooked. We will be coming back again, worth a try indeed.

I have literally eaten 10,000 or more burritos in my life, and never had a bad one. Each one a glorious, tortilla-wrapped affirmation that life is good. Until Riley’s.
What they handed me wasn’t a burrito but more of a dare. Imagine three sad slices of flank steak, each the size of a dollar bill, lounging in a pool of nacho cheese like they’d given up on their dreams. Then someone rolled it all up in a tortilla and charged me $19 for the privilege of disappointment.
I used to think ruining a burrito was impossible. Riley’s proved that with enough indifference and a deep commitment to mediocrity, anything is possible. Bravo.

They didn’t even bring me napkins or a fork. Riley’s, I salute you for the memories.

Out of the way upstairs, my wife a native to Folsom did not know it was there. Good food for lunch, wife had half salad and I had chicken sandwich. Both very good and reasonable portion. View from outside deck was nice to watch the bustle of Sutter street
