Phenomenal Indian food. Bombay in downtown Sacramento was my go to. Now that I found this gem, this is the new go-to for high-quality Indian food. Had the Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan and classic chicken Tikka masala. If you are iffy about Indian food, the atmosphere, food and service is excellent. Their Samosas are very great as well. Nice crunch to them. Excellent ?

This is our favorite Indian restaurant in town and we often get takeout. The lunch special is a great deal, with dal, naan, rice, and your main dish. It's also one of the few places in town where you can get dosa.

Out of towner passing through and gave this a shot. Service was great. Friendly staff on top of ordering and checking to see how food was. Even ordered a dessert to have after the meal and they timed bringing it out perfectly. Gulab was delicious! Butter masala chicken was delicious. Soup had a pinch of heat in it that I wasn’t expecting but it was good. Overall dish was good. Restaurant, table, utensils all clean. Will definitely add it to the list of stops when I pass through.

This is our favorite Indian restaurant in town. The flavors are consistently great, and we particularly enjoy the chicken and shrimp tandoori. All of the dishes we've tried have been delicious. This is our go-to spot for Indian cuisine.

Food was ok. I ordered a lemon drink but didn't drink because green flakes added looked brown and lemon didn't look fresh. I've had way better Indian food.

We got food catered for a birthday party. Food was prepared and packed very nicely. It tasted delicious, no extra addition of cream or oil. Everything was fresh. Food was complimented endlessly and so many guests took the contact of the caterer. Amanat the manager of the store is extremely knowledgeable, responsible and helpful. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Really bad service and dirty place. Food was all seasoned similarly and bland
So dirty everywhere
And the gal carrying the plates had her hands inside her mouth picking her teeth with her fingers right before brining the plates
Rude service and bland food
We recently ordered catering from Sanskrit for a party, and it was a fantastic experience! The food was absolutely wonderful and made our event even more special.
We had the butter chicken, garlic naan, and tandoori chicken. Each dish was delicious, with rich flavors and perfect seasoning. The butter chicken was creamy and full of flavor, the garlic naan was warm and perfectly crispy, and the tandoori chicken was tender and well-spiced.
A special thanks to Amanat for her exceptional service. She was friendly, professional, and ensured everything was ready on time. Her attention to detail and dedication made the entire process smooth and stress-free, which we greatly appreciated.

I recently had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. While dining outside with my family of four, we were initially provided only two plates because the rest were apparently still being washed. For several minutes, we had to share the two plates among us. Once we finally got the additional plates, I found myself having to go inside twice to reorder and fetch paper napkins. The food itself was mediocre at best. To top it off, when I asked for chopped onions and lemon before placing my order, the waitress informed me that they didn't have enough staff to fulfill this simple request.

It was the worst restaurant experience of my life. I was dining outside with my family of four when the waiter brought us only two plates, explaining that the rest were still being washed. For five minutes, we had to manage with just two plates. Even after we received the additional plates, I had to go inside twice to reorder and get paper napkins. The food was just okay. Moreover, before ordering, I asked for chopped onions and lemon, but the waitress told me they didn't have enough staff to chop onions.
