As a former NY resident who frequently ate at Joe's, I was excited to try out Slice House after reading a NYT article talking up their New York-style pizza. Unfortunately, the crust was too thick and hard to chew, and the pizza didn't seem particularly tasty otherwise. Ordering ahead for pickup is your best bet. The pizza and salads, meatballs, everything is fresher this way. I tried walking up and ordering from the counter to dine in recently but the pizzas pre-made were overly crispy, hard to eat, more like crackers. I'm used to ordering for pickup and enjoying super fresh crusts.
