my adult son and I just walked in, sat down and we were going to order food for both of us and my son had a tea in hand and I had a coffee, we planned on being there for a while and poetically would have gotten drinks at some point. A tall skinny guy says to us across the room, you can't bring drinks in your have to leave. I said we were going to buy two meals, he says "doesn't change the rules!" in a snarky tone! Customer service is everything, does it really hurt anyone that we had a coffee and tea in hand? They just lost 2 meal purchases and now we will never come back here and when one person has a bad experience generally they tell about 24 people in general conversation. Anyone looking for a great coffee shop where they are welcoming to everyone no matter what go to Coffee Republic!!!
Great find

This is my go to place in Folsom for coffee! It is a family favorite too. Not your chain place, a truly special local coffee joint worth the visit!

I’ve had coffee here several times. I particularly enjoy the matcha. Recently I ordered a breakfast toast and it took about 15 min to come out. I was done drinking my matcha by the time it came out only to find a long red hair come out of the avocado. I wanted to call to let them know, but when I went online to find the phone number, none was provided. I proceeded to go into their website thinking that it will be there, but alas no luck. I dont recommend the food items at all. I’m thoroughly grossed out and further irritated that I couldn’t call and tell them about my experience.

We were visiting Folsom for the holiday fair. We were looking for some coffee off the main Street, hoping it would be less crowded. We found that this was not the case. We ended up getting vanilla lattes. Both were fine and there's plenty of patio seating.
Resist corporate coffee! Sociology is a great local coffee bar that consistently nails every drink! Interesting and tasty food options too. Check them out next time you are in Folsom.

Our favorite place for coffee and food! If you want quality, unique coffee concoctions with housemade pastries and food items, this is the jam. Love the rotating, seasonal menu as well! Support local. :)

Love this little place! My favorites are the Apple Hill tea and the chicken tacos.
Parking: Huge free parking garage across street. Also a free parking lot and quite a few on-street parking spaces.

Outstanding drip coffee and food that is sheer magic.
We've had breakfast tacos, sourdough knot and a special sourdough toast with tastes I'd only seen in fine dinning.

Best coffee in Folsom!
Price is just too high for a mocha. A 12 oz mocha is $6.50. There is not enough seating until the weekend when they get to use the shared space. Coffee cake is not gourmet but is also $6.50, higher than most coffeehouses. They claim to be an actual coffee roaster, but there is no roaster. We often hear coffeehouses claim to roast their beans, and they always claim to roast somewhere else. It's so they can charge more for their beans and drinks.
