We went because of so many positive reviews on Neighbors app. Our steaks were not very tender. Mine was a fillet. Didn’t turn them back because we wanted to eat together. When spending $200+ for dinner, I found it extremely cheap to charge $2 more for a wedge salad if you wanted bacon and cheese. These are always included. It’s like charging $2 extra with your bread if you want butter. The wasabi sauce tasted like pure soy. Just very disappointing to spend that kind of money for below average food.

Absolutely delicious food offerings, the steaks are cooked to perfection, and our server Sidney was outstanding with perhaps the best service we've had. Everything is delicious and the portions are generous. Worth every penny!

What can I say? From beginning to end it was an exceptional and enchanting experience. Alivia our host made our reservations, and our night. If there were as many stars on this review as in the most dazzling empyrean night sky, it would not be half enough to express with profound enough gravity how much she made our night special. Aaron was our server and was beyond excellent. From recommendations on wine to replying in French and helping with seconds and dessert, he was exceptional. The atmosphere was very classy and charming and the lights were set at the perfect low for fine dining. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the Ceasar salad (especially the croutons) was phenomenonal, and the desserts were full of flavor but not overwhelming. Will be back for sure when we visit Folsom again. Merci beaucoup. À bientôt!! ??

6 of us came for dinner on a Saturday evening. We had 6:30 reservations and decided to get there earlier to have drinks in the bar. After checking in at about 5:40, we went to the bar and found a table. The bartender said we had to order from him directly at the bar so we proceeded to order. After my husband set two of our drinks down, a server arrived and said she could take our order but we explained that we were told we had to order from the bar and had already done so. She said it was fine and glad we were taken care of. Then a hostess came and said she could seat us early so we agreed and headed towards the table with her. Our table was still being set and we were missing a chair so that was awkward. So far, that was two dings on service. A server by the name of Jessica came by and she was very friendly so we were hopeful that things were looking up. She told us the specials and took our appetizer and wine order. Then she came back with the specials menu so we didn't have to try to remember them. Not sure why we weren't given the specials menu when we sat down or when she first came by. As the meal went on, Jessica checked in from time to time but not frequently enough as we had to refill our own wine glasses. This is not something we would expect from an upscale dining establishment. I ordered a glass of white wine to accompany my fish meal but it took a while and I had almost finished my plate by the time it arrived. The food was good but nothing spectacular. We started with Raw Oysters and Calamari. We also ordered salads. I had the Caesar and others had Field Greens and a Wedge. The salads were fresh. Then our table had NY Steaks, Filet with Short Rib, Flat Iron Steak, Surf & Turf, and Chilean Sea Bass. The Sea Bass was delicious. The men weren't super happy with their NY Steaks. One was ok and the other was not good so they weren't consistent. My son liked his Filet but thought the Prawns in his Surf & Turf were over seasoned. He complained that his tongue was tingling from too much salt. The sides of Spinach, Brussel Sprouts, and Mushrooms were a good portion size and tasty. We rounded out the night with coffee cocktails. They were ok. The tables are tightly packed in. All the tables were full so I can see why they want to have so many seats but it's not comfortable. The women's restroom was out of toilet paper in three of the seven stalls. Being that we were a part of the early dining crowd, that means no staff checked their restrooms before opening for dinner.

The best of the best. Steaks melt in your mouth. Service is outstanding. My only complaint, hard to get a reservation.

Great experience and so happy to have a great steakhouse near us. Even better knowing it brings us back to our Chico, Fifth Street days! Definitely recommend!

Outstanding dry aged filets. Garlic mash potatoes so good as well with the half clove of baked garlic.

Honestly one of the best steak houses around. I took my extremely picky father in law here and he still raves about how delicious everything was. I like the New York and my wife enjoys the filet and lobster. All of the sides are delicious as well.

Very mediocre. Not worth the price. Basic Fries, New York Strip was very thick and not much flavor. Ordered the Grilled Shrimp and they are very basic. Nothing special. Garlic mashed potatoes were the best part along with the molten chocolate cake. Wouldn't go again, especially for that price.

Celebrated my dad’s birthday here at Sutter Street Steakhouse, and it was perfect. We came in for reservation at a very late 8pm as this was all that was available due to a holiday weekend. Karlee S was our server for the evening.Doc holiday 4.5/5 (paper straw -.5)Drink special 3.5/5 (Mardi Gras Blues)Bread 3/5 (very hard crunch)Mushrooms 5/512oz and 6oz filet with garlic mashed potatoes 5/5Béarnaise sauce 3/5Lava cake 5/5 (brought free for birthday, such a nice bonus)Banana cheesecake 6/5 (star of the night)Crème brûlée 5/5A unique destination - with exciting food and drink options. Many items seem homemade / different from your everyday restaurant. Upscale with a great ambiance for date night, family events, or work meetups. Servers are knowledgeable and helpful. Even coming in at a late 8pm reservation, we never felt rushed either. Will certainly return and highly recommend this location to anyone considering it!$187.47 for a party of 4 before tip.For local reviews or travel content you can find us on most socials @sunsetourist
