The service at Tao’s is impeccable. Staff members are attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to enhance your dining experience. They guided us through the menu and recommended some fantastic choices. As for the food, it was nothing short of spectacular. We started with a variety of appetizers, each more delicious than the last. The hotpot options are plentiful, featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients that meld beautifully with their rich and flavorful.I highly recommend Tao’s HotPot & Shabu to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Folsom. Whether you’re a hotpot aficionado or trying it for the first time, Tao’s is sure to impress!

We are from out of town in an area where there are tons of hot pot places, and this place is just as delicious! The meat is nicely sliced and great quality. There are enough side and appetizer options to fill you up, plus a little ice cream treat in the end. We got here at 5pm on a Saturday and it wasn’t busy at all. It got busy around 6. The service was fantastic - never had to ask the server to come back to take more orders because she’d check in regularly. The only thing that would make it better would be to have a sauce bar with all the sauces, green onion, garlic, and cilantro. We’d probably waste less sauce too, because we’d only take what we need. Overall, we loved it and would definitely go back!

It was amazing food we all get our own little hot pots which is especially nice for picky eaters, when we first got here we got sat instantly and they gave us a few minutes deciding what we want, very friendly checked on us a lot and made sure we got what we wanted

Attentive service, fresh ingredients, good flavor! I like their house sauces most! The meats are very good as well, especially the spicy beef and green pepper chicken.

Wonderful hotpot place with incredible service. Also, some of the best quality meats I've ever had at a hotpot place. Glad this place is around!

Good service and fresh food with friendly staff. Very clean as well. Definitely an Asian gem in Folsom. Perfect for filling the hotpot void without driving to Sac. Only wish is for beer on tap and hot sake, like one of their competitors, but that's just my preference.

Enjoyed a meal here on a rainy day. It was great! Clean, friendly, well-lit, and delicious. What they lack in the amount of different items they make up for in quality and portions. Personally, I prefer a few heaping portions of high quality items over countless standard sized portions of sub par items any time. It is all you can eat but it's not buffet style, which I definitely appreciated. I'm looking forward to bringing my mom and sisters here next time.

I really wanted to give this place a higher rating. This was my second time doing Shabu and my wifes first. I took her here after trying Shabu while on a ski trip in Park City. We arrived when they had just opened so it was not extremely busy. We were seated in a nice booth and given our menus. The menu was a little confusing to is being new to this style of food. I told our waiter that we were unsure how to order to try and get some pointers. We were advised that there were two different orders and A and B menu. That really did not explain much. He did not let us know we could get different sauces so we figured what was on the table was all we got. As for the food. It was good. It seemed a little salty but different sauces could have fixed that. I will try it again but getting my wife back might be a chore.

One of my favorite spots when I visit Folsom for work. The meat choices are excellent. Highly recommend the cilantro meat balls if you like cilantro. The other options are good too. Multiple broth options with spice levels and if you are getting low, they will top off your pot. Pro Tip: order the fried rice cakes last to accompany the green tea ice cream that is offered at the end of your meal. Price is fair and comparable to other AYCE hot pot places.

Came here for Valentine's Day and the wait was a little longer than expected but totally understand since it's the busiest holiday in my opinion. The service was good even though they were extremely busy. When we sat we ordered right away. All you can eat for 38.99 and the Kobe was really good and sliced very thin. The house special soy sauce was a nice compliment and the broth was really enjoyable until it evaporated a lot. Got very salty towards the end but they do offer you more broth if needed! At the end of your meal you can get complimentary ice cream. I definitely like having your own pot so you can easily find your items you threw in.

It was a bit slow on service. Food was ok but Service was amazing. It was nice and clean. Should give this a try if ur in the area. 3.5 stars if there's an option but I'm safe to say 3 stars. Didn't quite make it to 4 because i didn't get too much of the wow factor.
