Best ramen in Folsom. Broth so good and noodles so chewy.

Umami Ramen is one of my favorite spots in Folsom for a warm, comforting bowl of ramen. The broth is rich and flavorful — especially the black garlic tonkotsu — and the portions are super generous. The noodles have a great texture, and the chashu is usually tender and well-seasoned.

If you’re craving a satisfying, delicious bowl of ramen, this place is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommend!

Basic, but in a good way. Exactly what ramen should be.

Umami Ramen in Folsom never disappoints! The flavors are rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. Their broth tastes like it’s been simmered for hours, and every bowl feels warm and satisfying. The noodles are always cooked just right, and the toppings are fresh and generous.

If you haven’t tried their ramen yet, you’re missing out. This spot is truly a gem in Folsom! Highly recommended!

This place is legit. Been coming here for last couple of years and have never had a bad meal. The katsu chicken with curry is my usual go to but during winter season any of the ramen are super good.

Felt like throwing up after eating the spicy miso ramen

Took my wife and MiL here for dinner, I ordered Cheshu don, MiL ordered karaage don, wife ordered tonkatsu. MiLs dish came out almost immediately, I had to wait an extra 15 minutes for my dish, my wife waited 45 minutes for her bowl of ramen...absolutely unacceptable.

Quality of food: cheshu don was good, but had large pieces of fat that really retracted from the dish
MiL reports karaage don was good
Ramen was ok.
Atmosphere feels like an anime convention.
Edit to add: ordering is self service, but they still prompt ypu for a tip. Disgraceful.

Wonderful ramen, I'd go as far as saying the best I've had in California. If you like it spicy, they do it incredibly well here. Highly recommend!

Such a cute restaurant. The decor is so appealing with Japanese style and with cute Japanese themed items around the walls and in displays. It looks like most of it is for sale too. The service is friendly and quick. Kiosk ordering but the man at the counter helped us when we made a mistake. The food was delicious with a good variety, though a tad expensive. My daughter just came back from living in Japan and she was able to find her favorite bottled tea and said the food was authetic just like her local Ramen shop in Yokohama. I would go here again for sure.

Totally comfortable, affordable by today's standards and ultimately a good bowl of Ramen. Not the best I've ever had, but worthy.

The name speaks for itself, Umami Ramen is the best! First time coming and we will definitely be coming back. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun, with trinkets, toys and Japanese imports you can buy. The service is excellent with friendly staff and support if you need it. The food was out of this world! The black garlic tonkotsu was amazing. Portion size is great and they gave us a California roll as a promotion for September. Overall, if you’re looking for a great spot for Ramen, this is it!
