Tasty, self service ramen place. The tonkotsu ramen was good. Chashu was a little too fatty though

I absolutely love ramen, and I’m thrilled to say that Umami Ramen is hands-down the best spot in Folsom. Yeah, I said it! Fukumi Ramen and Rakkan Ramen? They don’t compete—they can’t compete.
One of my biggest pet peeves when it comes to ramen is the broth. There’s nothing worse than lukewarm or room-temperature broth—it’s a total dealbreaker. But Umami Ramen gets it right every time. Their broth is served hot, just the way it should be, which makes all the difference.
Not only is the temperature perfect, but the flavor is incredible. It’s rich, deep, and tastes authentically homemade—none of that powdery, artificial stuff here. You can tell the care and effort that goes into crafting every bowl.
Oh, and it’s not just ramen! They also have sushi rolls and hand rolls that are fresh and delicious. And let’s talk about the geso—thick, meaty octopus that’s tender and flavorful, not just a pile of breading like you’d find at other places. It’s a must-try!
The noodles are cooked to perfection, the toppings are fresh and plentiful, and the overall presentation is spot on. The staff are friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even better.
If you’re a ramen lover—or just a fan of great Japanese food—do yourself a favor and check out Umami Ramen. It’s the gold standard for ramen in Folsom, and I can’t wait to go back for another bowl (and maybe some more sushi and geso)!

Great restaurant with delicious ramen. I think this place beats fukumi and ryujin to be the best ramen in the Sacramento area for me. You can generally choose between thin and thick noodles.
The tonkotsu broth is what's the best in my opinion. The chashu and topping are also good. I think fukumi only wins out on chashu, but the chashu here is still excellent. Fukumi also has overcooked the egg every time but I haven't been there in a while.

This is the best sushi ramen restaurant that I have ate at!!! You order on big tablets and then they bring you food. All the food we had was fabulous! 5 stars for sure!! Highly recommend this place!! I'm sharing a picture of our plates cleaned off. We are leaving stuffed!! Plus they have a good selection of their t-shirts, head bands and other stuff you can buy.

My first visit here parking lot was Jamed at 12:45 Friday. I ordered the ramen #7 medium spicy was a little too spicy for me should order less spice next time. I enjoyed the dish but the texture of the soft boiled egg was difficult. The waitress/busser was a bit snotty. I asked her if the deep fried squid was just legs as the menu said she said it is in strips and walked away. Left me with more questions than answers. All in all it was a pleasant first experience.

I had the spicy miso ramen with chicken I added black garlic and corn which came on the side. Philip was so kind and provided excellent customer service he’s very professional. Even if you are a picky eater you can’t go wrong with the spicy miso option. It’s definitely a 10/10 best ramen I’ve had in Sacramento/Elk grove definitely worth the drive to Folsom.

Absolutely in love with this place, me and my boyfriend come here daily for dinner, at least once a week or once every other week. We have tried other ramen spots but nothing tops this place and will always be our favorite place and go to.
Update:
They now offer sushi! It was the best sushi I have ever had and I’m comparing it to mikuni. The fish is so fresh, doesn’t smell, melts in your mouth and is super savory/refreshing! Definitely my new go to sushi spot as well!
