Habibi's Hot Chicken

Today I visited Habibi’s Hot Chicken, a Halal Chicken Shop in Fontana, with my wife for dinner. We had heard great things about this place, so our expectations were high. Upon arrival, we found the restaurant to be moderately crowded with a nicely decorated interior that gave off a Halloween vibe.

However, we were disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in the restaurant. The tables were sticky and dirty with sauce and leftover food, and no one seemed to be cleaning them. We took it upon ourselves to clean a table before sitting down. We ordered Combo 1 (2 Habibi Sandwiches with Fries) and Shosho’s Loaded Fries. The staff was polite and prompt, and we didn't have to wait long for our food.

Unfortunately, the food did not live up to our expectations. The chicken on both the sandwiches and fries was dry and lacked flavor. The Mac and Cheese on the Shosho’s Loaded Fries tasted sour, which was unexpected. Overall, our experience at Habibi’s Hot Chicken was a bit of a mixed bag. Adding to our disappointment was the high price of the items on the menu. We felt that the taste of the food did not warrant the cost, making it feel like an unworthy investment.

I would recommend that the restaurant focus more on cleanliness and improving the taste of their dishes to meet the expectations of their customers. It has the potential to be a great spot for Halal chicken, but there is room for improvement.

Chicken very bland and dry The fries soggy, waffle Soggy and chewy This place is garbage, do not come here And let me add I was the only one here, so they weren't in a rush, they just suck.

Chicken is good. Just wished they used more chicken with their specialty fries. Even with extra chicken. It isn't enough. Mostly macaroni and fries. Carb overload!! Worth the try

The store looked great inside, I love the atmosphere. The employee or store manager didn’t really know if he owns it or not but overall great ppl and service would recommend.

I usually don’t leave reviews but I really just wanted to appreciate one of the employees, Michelle. She served us a couple nights ago and this wasn’t our first time here. We had a problem with our order and she was very understanding and willing to resolve it. Just outstanding customer service is all. Thank you again Michelle!

Honest opinion on food here is also outstanding. 10/10. Only “complaint” is the bun pretty basic but the rest of the flavors make up for it

Great workers, food was very bland. Mac n cheese was just Mac no cheese. And it was cold. Chicken was solid, needs more of a kick though.

What a let down, I used to live in OC & I would get something similar to this out there & it was fire so we came here & it lacked flavor it had seasoning & ranch dressing but it was so bunk, it basically was just a bunch of flavorless slop, the best thing I could say the girls were nice other than that I should have known bc when we got there the place almost empty, one last downfall each plate was $17.50 so I spent over $40 for 2 persons but all this place did was frustrate me bc I came here craving something similar that taste bomb & it was a dud ?

I purchased the 4 piece tender, it was soggy and flavorless this is the worst hot chicken I’ve ever had I took one bite and threw it away for $20 this is not the quality I’d expect

Best hot chicken I’ve had. Everything was full of flavor. The habibi sauce is so tasty. The fries were crispy and seasoned. And the chicken is halal

My wife and I went here for the first time, it was Labor Day, to-go, and it was absolutely packed. We waited about an hour, but we very quickly understood why. There were only 2 who were working the shift! It wasn't until another worker was able to clock in later in the evening, that they were able to serve our to-go order. Some customers who were waiting were getting irate, which is understandable. This I have no issues with, the staff was friendly, very apologetic about the wait, they still get a 5 star in my book for customer service! The staff did the best with what they had.

Now as for the food, it was fantastic! We ordered 4 chicken sandwiches (2 number one combos), the Shosho Loaded Fries, and a milk shake. My wife never gets a chicken sandwich, I mean NEVER. But she ended up absolutely loving the chicken sandwich. She claims that it's way better than any other chicken sandwich place we've been to. My personal favorite is the Shosho Loaded Fries! Didn't expect the macaroni and cheese with the fries and chicken, but amazing combo! The cinnamon toast milkshake was very sweet and hit the spot!

Price-wise, it's more than worth getting the number one combo with the 2 chicken sandwiches and fries. For $15, it's a great deal! Better than most places that serve similar meals.

To close, we highly recommend people try out the food here! Will be back again soon!

This place had quality chicken, but it was very greasy. They fry it and then dip in oil for the seasoning to stick. It also was bland. The fries were overcooked. The young man making the food had a glove on one hand and used his un gloved hand to dip into the coleslaw and top the sandwich! Yuck utensils should be used. I had the 6 piece with fries and Texas toast, it was $26 . Kinda pricy but the chicken was moist just too much grease. I wanted to like it but not for me. ?
By the way, I took the chicken out of container for the pictures I did not eat. Lol

Went with my son. The place was nice and clean, have some outdoor seating as well. The staff was very friendly. I ordered the Shoshos loaded fries with one mild tender and they were delicious!! Great portions. My son and I shared the fries and still had leftovers. I will definitely be a regular here ?
