Best pozole ever!!! My husband loves their menudo. I get a bean and cheese burrito w extra cheese and onion to go with my pozole and my husband gets the torta de milanesa. Straight heavenly. Thanks Carlitos!!

My wife and I stopped by Carlito's and were pleasantly surprised to find clean, neat establishment with an interesting American/Mexican food menu. We ordered the huevos rancheros and were pleasantly surprised as the eggs came just as we ordered them (her: over easy, me: sunny side up with soft yolks). The refried beans were mercifully fluid instead of the dry, dusty paste often encountered in most restaurants. The chile verde (pork) covering the eggs and taco was absolutely terrific!The service was very good with the manger/proprietor being exceedingly kind and solicitous. I note on some other reviews -- the one star ones -- that they took exception to the food but, for the life of me, I find it hard to believe one would find a clinker in this lot if the establishment could do huevos rancheros as well as they did for us. We will return and visit to check out the other items on the menu but, until then, I suggest you visit and find out for yourself. I am sure you'll be delighted.

The steak and chicken fajitas , the Carne Asada wet burrito, French Toast with sausages hit the spot for us! Great company, vibes, and great customer service! Big portions, great prices. Absolutely love it here! Must try their homemade flan! It's like the neighborhood go to spot! Very family oriented business .. great for the family. Come watch football and sports here! I was craving a crunchy taco for lunch, and the spot we used to go to closed, so I turned to Yelp tlfoe suggestions.I came across Carlitos - I checked with my coworkers and they weren't familiar with it, so we figured it was probably new. (*Turns out they had been there 3 years)I was surprised I couldn't find a photo of their crunchy taco, but I saw they had it on their menu. So we figured we'd give it a try.I ordered a shredded beef crunch taco, with rice and beans, a side of chips and salsa, and a small guac.The small guac was tiny, but we figured it would give us a taste, and it was real tasty. Their chips were really good - light and crispy! The salsa was ok - not too spicy, and real tomato-y. We really enjoyed the crunchy taco. The shredded beef had a really good flavor. And the rice and beans were good too - definitely enough to share.Overall, our lunch was tasty - we took it 'to go'. But I do have to admit that I was surprised that nobody was in the restaurant and it was lunchtime - maybe most people take their food to-go - ??Glad we finally discovered Carlitos - we'll definitely go back sometime to try other menu items.

I dropped off my car at Firestone for maintenance and decided to walk over to Carlito's Diner for breakfastToday was my first time at the Fountain Valley location, I had previously visited the Huntington Beach location for lunch, and it definitely won't be my last. The decor was just okay, but my the waiter greeted me as soon as I entered the restaurant He told me that it would be a couple of minutes to take my order as he was working on a couple of phone orders at the moment. I appreciated the communication.I ordered the huevos rancheros (my favorite Mexican breakfast) and it was so delicious! This was the first time I had huevos rancheros with green chile and pork and I loved the change up from the usual red sauce. The beans and rice were tasty too. I'm glad I finally tried this restaurant and I'm so happy that it's close to my home.
