This matter continues to evolve (in litigation), I continue to be astonished at the utter foolishness of the FVSD. This is Version 3.0 and counting: Issue: Does student safety matter to FVSD? If so, then why are between 0 and 20 children between ages 6-8 injured on the monkey bars at Courreges Elementary School for each of the last 17 years? (Health Aide Snyder sworn testimony). Truth be told: My daughter (then barely age 7) was seriously injured on one of it's campuses. The Administration and Teacher (Mr. Chris Christensen ("Principal of the Year" in Orange County" and Mrs. Tiffini Workman (my daughter's then 1st Grade Teacher, who is tenured-- therefore, her job was not at risk) have since lied (Workman about 6 times!) and engaged in the proverbial "cover-up". I had to depose Workman's daughter (a minor at the school) literally to impeach her mother's sworn testimony! My daughter's testimony impeached Workman's testimony as well. Beyond the pale. Despicable. Deplorable. We should be able to TRUST our teachers (at the very least!) Unfortunate that folks need to stoop that low, where, as here, my daughter is a sweet girl and a good student who (now almost 9) is very active in our FV Community. (e.g., Southland Ballet; Clifton Dance Project; FV Music (Piano); AYSO Soccer; and lead (singing) roles in "Annie", "Fairytale Follies" and "A Year With Frog & Toad" at the Boys & Girls Club Musical Theatre Program.). I am a volunteer at Courreges Elementary School for 3 years now and counting, just to put this in perspective. I have also made some (modest) donations to the school. I have now spent over $10,000.00 of my hard earned money in litigation costs pursuing this matter. FVSD, despite it's obvious negligence (lack of or inadequate supervision and/or dangerous condition of public property) persist in trying to (financially) bully (with unlimited funds from OUR TAX MONEY) us into submission, but again, they don't realize, I am a New Yorker, I am cut from a different cloth; I am intelligent, educated, learned and I am not going to back down. Especially not when it comes to my daughter. No way. As a parent, it is my duty to protect her. I take that duty seriously. Now the story: Being forced to litigation, I have exposed that between 0 and 20 children are injured on the monkey bars each year for the past 17 years! (Courtesy of Ms. Snyder at her deposition); that said monkey bars measured 7'1" from the ground (on the date my daughter was injured) because they (regularly) fail to rake the wood chips back in place; (Courtesy of Custodian Betancourt at his deposition); that the teacher to student ratio of 6-8 year olds "full of energy" playing outside during recess was a whopping 73:1-- actually, no, I have now since learned after deposing Ms. Ayub and Mrs. Brady, for the first 10 minutes of recess when my daughter was injured, it was anywhere from 75-220:1!!! Yes, I kid you not! (Ayub, Brady, Workman, Snyder and Betancourt depositions). Experts and literature say 15:1, 12:1 or as low as 10:1 are proper ratios of supervision of 6-8 year olds playing outdoors!); and that NO ADULT (SCHOOL WORKER, WHO IS TRAINED IN IT'S INJURY PROTOCOLS) SAW MY DAUGHTER FALL NOR ASSISTED HER WITH SERIOUS INJURIES (two fractures in her wrist (ulna and radius), not far from the growth plate, which could have been a permanent injury-- hello?) UNTIL ANOTHER CHILD WALKED HER (about 100 yards) TO THE SCHOOL (MAIN) OFFICE WHERE THE NURSE'S OFFICE IS! Indeed, there was a TOTAL LACK OF SUPERVISION which is blatant NEGLIGENCE yet these folks want to fight me (a 28-year litigation attorney) with their high powered lawyers who literally try to lie and make up bogus nonsense (including, but not limited to a phantom (nonexistent) medical condition (nice try, Courtney!), which they have since (apparently) abandoned-- chuckle chuckle!) when my daughter was clearly properly using the monkey bars (as they readily admit) for their intended

The Fountain Valley School District is a member of good standing with "The Fountain Valley Chamber of Commerce." The staff here is amazing. They are eager to help you and always have a smile on their face. Whenever I have a question they are knowledgable on the subject and will provide me answers to my questions. If your kid happens to be in this school district, consider yourself lucky. Can't recommend them enough.

Clean + well-kept building with plenty of parking spots up front. I mainly stop by here for the SchoolsFirst FCU Image-ATM that's sitting right outside the main entrance. For those who don't know, the Image-ATMs will actually "read" and scan your checks on the spot. You can then have the machine print out a image copy of your check(s) on your receipt. You do not need a envelope for any types of deposits here. Your checks and cash go straight into the machine. Oh and it'll also verify the different types of denominations of cash you have to deposit too. So you can feed the machine your wad of cash, and it'll count, verify and deposit your cash for you - and then print on your receipt the number of each denomination of cash you deposited. Nifty little device. The ATM is fee-free to members of the Credit Union "CO-OP" network (look for that triangle/COOP symbol on the back of your debit/credit card. The ATM area faces the Fountain Valley Police Department HQ - and with police cars always heading in and out, I do feel safe making deposits/using this ATM (although its always good to practice common sense and be aware of your surroundings).
