MY WORST EXPERIENCE in this place, I would definitely never recommend it, and I certainly never plan to return, my husband took me there because it was a place that he remembered with great affection. I ordered a California omelet, and it was not cooked properly. Immediately after bringing the food to the table, the cashier took the bill, but I didn't say anything; After five minutes, he came back to see if we were going to pay him, to which we told him that I was going to want one more pancake, and he went to ask the kitchen and they said that they couldn't do it since the kitchen closes at night. at 1:45 something they didn't tell us, when we entered the same cashier welcomed us, offered the specials of the day, and NEVER said anything about the schedule, so while demanding payment of the bill, even though we haven't finished yet to eat, I had to give him the money so he could leave the table.Right there we had to get up without even finishing eating. Since it was 2:05 in the afternoon and they already had to close. Definitely if you don't want to end up like me, paying and not being able to finish your food, DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!!!

1. Small comfort food diner, booths and breakfast bar.2. Military friendly3. Fan of the SOS (the gravy), chicken and waffles and Korean beef (not kidding)4. Service with a smile like back home..5. A place that can only be found by those who have been there before, just my kind of place...but, judge for yourself.

Really great local diner. Total icon of Fountain Valley. Mom and pop, family run business that is filled with vintage military decor. A must visit restaurant. They even have Loco Moco for breakfast.

Paul's Coffee Shop is a great place for a delicious breakfast. My kids loved experiencing the display of all the armed forces items and were able to ask some good questions about our veterans. Delicious food was served on military mess hall trays and the employees and service was friendly and fun. Be sure to thank a veteran while you're there!

Tried the pastrami. It was OK but kinda skinny in the meat department along with the fries it was OK. The constant asking by our server to enter a drawing which really transfers to a veteran donation of sorts was a little excessive, literally every 5 minutes until my buddy I met for lunch gave up 10 bucks then she kept asking afterwards anyways like don't you remember we just gave/donated 10 bucks?? The place was in diners and dives show, to me it didn't live up to the hype.
